Breast cancer diagnosis using FT-RAMAN spectroscopy
SPIE Proceedings, 2005In this study FT-RAMAN spectra of breast tissue from 35 patients were obtained and separated into nine groups for histopathologic analysis, which are as follows: normal breast tissue, fibrocystic condition, in situ ductal carcinoma, in situ ductal carcinoma with necrosis, infiltrate ductal carcinoma, infiltrate inflammatory ductal carcinoma, infiltrate

Characterization of biomaterials using FT-Raman spectroscopy
AIP Conference Proceedings, 1998Carbohydrates play an important role in the quality and preservation of pharmaceutical and food materials. The storage temperature and water content is very critical in storage and, therefore, it is very important to understand how the physical state of carbohydrates is affected by water.

FT Raman spectroscopy of Norway spruce needles
SPIE Proceedings, 200112 Norway spruce [Picea abies (L.) Karst.] needles represent a very useful bioindicator of the air pollution. They serve not only as natural samplers of the pollutants but micromorphology of the epistomatal area can be directly correlated with an environmental stress.

FT Raman Spectroscopy of Some Metal Hexaborides
Journal of Solid State Chemistry, 1997Abstract Fourier-transform Raman (FT) spectra of single-crystal LaB 6 and SmB 6 and of sintered EuB 6− X C X ( X ≈0.1) were measured at room temperature. For excitation a Nd:YAG laser with about 2 W irradiation power was used. The spectra exhibited many more details of the phonon densities of states than those obtained with conventional Raman ...

FT-Raman Spectroscopy of Modified Tetraisopropyltitanate Hydrolysates
1997Modification of metal alkoxides with complexing agents, such as carboxylic acids, which act both as a catalyst and a ligand, is commonly used in sol-gel processing to alter the hydrolysis and condensation rates of the alkoxide. Hydrolysates produced by the reaction of modified tetraisopropyltitanate with water were X-ray-amorphous but exhibited spectra

NIR-FT-Raman Spectra of Some Proteins
1993NIR-FT-Raman spectroscopy is today widely used in studies of biologically interesting molecules. Using this technique the fluorescence observed with visible excitation is avoided. This is of particular importance for biological polymers where unavoidable impurities often give rise to intense broad backgrounds with Ar-ion laser excitation.

FT-Raman Microscopy: Discussion and Preliminary Results
Applied Spectroscopy, 1989This paper reports on the first spectra obtained using a microscope apparatus to perform FT-Raman spectroscopy. It is considered desirable to use a standard FT-IR microscope for these measurements, since this approach may lead to the attainment of both FT-IR and FT-Raman microscope data from a single instrument.

A New Industrial FT-Raman/FTIR Spectrometer
SPIE Proceedings, 1989At the International conference on Fourier Transform Spectroscopy in 1985, the seed was sown for the development of FT Raman. After establishing a solid base for research applications as shown at the International Conference in 1987. The technique has now advanced to the stage of routine use in industrial product development.

FT-Raman Measurements on Cation-Exchange Resins
Applied Spectroscopy, 1995The utility of FT-Raman spectroscopy in characterizing ion-exchange resins has been demonstrated. Measurements have been made on strong acid-type cation-exchange resin beads of a sulfonated polystyrene-divinyl benzene copolymer. Spectra are compared for the resin with 10 different cations.
