Imaging FTIR emissivity measurement method

Proceedings of SPIE, 2013
Though many materials behave approximately as greybodies across the long-wave infrared (LWIR) waveband, certain important infrared (IR) scene modeling materials such as brick and galvanized steel exhibit more complex optical properties 1 . Accurately describing how non-greybody materials interact relies critically on the accurate incorporation of the ...

Measurement uncertainty of lactase-containing tablets analyzed with FTIR

Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, 2014
Uncertainty is one of the most critical aspects in determination of measurement reliability. In order to ensure accurate measurements, results need to be traceable and uncertainty measurable. In this study, homogeneity of FTIR samples is determined with a combination of variographic and multivariate approach.

Measurement of diffusional parameters in membranes using ATR-FTIR spectroscopy

International Journal of Cosmetic Science, 1994
SummaryThe use of ATR‐FTIR spectroscopy for the assessment of synthetic and biological membrane permeability is described. Measurement of the diffusion coefficient of acetonitrile in a polydimethylsiloxane membrane showed the method to be of reasonable reproducibility.
