Tetrafluoroethylene: high resolution FTIR spectroscopy
Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., 2002High resolution FTIR spectra of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) were measured in a cell cooled to approximately 160 K. Rovibrational analyses of ν9, the b-type band at 1339.9 cm−1 and ν11, the a-type band at 1187.6 cm−1 led to assignment of 2691 and 3101 lines respectively, with Jmax = 87. Ground state combination differences generated from these transitions

FTIR spectroscopy applied to woodflour
Composite Interfaces, 1996The features of infrared spectra of woodflour obtained by transmission and diffuse reflectance (DRIFT) are discussed. Intrinsic differences between the two techniques, as well as differences in sample preparation for transmission (pressed pellet) or DRIFT (simple mixing with powered KBr), affect the appearance of the spectra recorded.

FTIR Spectroscopy of Flavin-Binding Photoreceptors
2014Light-induced difference Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy is a powerful, sensitive, and informative method to study structure-function relationships in photoreceptive proteins. Strong absorption of water in the IR region is always problematic in this method, but if water content in the sample is controlled during measurements, this method

Matrix FTIR spectroscopy of transient species
Annual Meeting Optical Society of America, 1989Matrix studies featuring the FTIR instrumental advantages of resolution and sensitivity for a finite amount of time are described. Ammonia clusters have a complicated spectrum in the N–H stretching region. One antisymmetric and two symmetric stretching modes in the dimer verify an asymmetric cyclic dimer structure.1 Chlorine isotopic splittings have ...

FTIR spectroscopy of borate crystals
SPIE Proceedings, 1999ABSTRACT Infrared absorption spectroscopy has been used to study the vibrational modes in various borate crystals, the electronictransitions of Nd3 ions in NYAB, and the stretching vibration of hydroxyl ions in CLBO ciystals. Keywords: borates, CLBO, YAB, FTIR spectroscopy, vibrations, Off ions 1.

ATR-FTIR Spectroscopy-Linked Chemometrics
2023Japanese knotweed (Reynoutria japonica), an invasive plant species, causes negative environmental and socio-economic impacts. A female clone in the United Kingdom, its extensive rhizome system enables rapid vegetative spread. Plasticity permits this species to occupy a broad geographic range and survive harsh abiotic conditions.

FTIR spectroscopy studies of nucleic acid damage
Talanta, 2000Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra of RNA isolated from tumour brain (glioma) and DNA isolated from low-dose gamma-irradiated epididymis cells of rats from the Chernobyl accident zone have been investigated in the 700-4000 cm(-1) region. The total absorbed radiation doses were equal to or less than 57 cGy.

2D-FTIR Spectroscopy of bacterioRhodopsin
AIP Conference Proceedings, 20002D-FTIR Spectroscopy was applied to study the slower states of the membrane protein bacterioRhodopsin (bR) photocycle, with the bR adsorbed on a ZnSe ATR-crystal. 2D-FTIR absorbance changes are presented in a more convenient way for analysis than in traditional 2D-FTIR spectroscopy.

Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy
2017The use of Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy has been considered to be one of the most effective techniques to study and understand the chemical and surface chemistry in various types of membrane. In this chapter, the role of FTIR techniques to monitor the change of membrane surface chemistry was discussed.
