Abstract Metagenomic Hi‐C (metaHi‐C) links mobile genetic elements to their cellular hosts directly within complex microbial communities. Once shotgun and Hi‐C libraries have been generated, however, the main challenges shift to the bioinformatics required for preprocessing, genome binning, taxonomic annotation, and network‐level interpretation.

ABSTRACT Introduction The current study used ecological momentary assessment (EMA) to examine whether body mass index (BMI) and weight suppression (highest minus current weight) predicted momentary body dissatisfaction and disordered eating urges, including dietary restriction, excessive exercise, binge eating, and unhealthy eating, and whether trait ...

Characterization of Fuel Types for the Canadian Region Using MODIS MCD12Q1 Data
The characterization and mapping of fuel types is one of the most important factors to consider in the development of accurate fire behavior models. This study introduces a new methodology for generating a fuel map that can be easily updated on an annual

Climate Shapes the Ratio Between Aboveground Plant Biovolume and Topsoil Macronutrients Worldwide
ABSTRACT Soil nutrients are a major limiting factor for plant biomass, yet paradoxically, some of the most productive ecosystems thrive in nutrient‐poor soils. Here, we conducted a global field survey in 421 sites across all major biomes to investigate the environmental factors controlling the ratio between plant biovolume (a proxy for aboveground ...

Efficient, Reversible Lead Adsorption in a Thiol‐Decorated Zirconium‐Metal–Organic Framework
A thiol‐decorated Zr‐MOF, Zr‐DMSA, efficiently captures Pb(II) from water via mixed S/O chelation enabled by flexible “dangling” ligands, as revealed by solid‐state NMR and pair distribution function analyses. Treatment with 1 M HCl fully reverses Pb binding, regenerating the material for up to 10 consecutive adsorption–desorption cycles.

Abstract Wind approximations, such as geostrophic and gradient wind, are limited in their ability to accurately represent atmospheric conditions in the presence of significant planetary wave activity. Those approximations, while widely applied in synoptic‐scale wind field estimation, fail to capture the full complexity of atmospheric dynamics under ...

Two novel thermophilic bacteria, Thermincola strain AZ34E and Carboxydocella strain AZ29I, were isolated from hydrothermal environments and shown to oxidise carbon monoxide via the water‐gas shift reaction. Comparative genomic and phylogenetic analyses revealed that all currently described isolates within Thermincola and Carboxydocella each represent a
