Rotation- and temperature-dependence of stellar latitudinal differential rotation

open access: yes, 2005
More than 600 high resolution spectra of stars with spectral type F and later were obtained in order to search for signatures of differential rotation in line profiles.

Can Fecal T3 Metabolite Level Fluctuations in European Roe Deer (Capreolus capreolus) Give Insights on Body Condition and Thermal Stress?

open access: yesIntegrative Zoology, EarlyView.
European roe deer fecal samples were assayed to investigate the potential fluctuations of fecal thyroid hormone metabolites (FTMs) in response to environmental (e.g., the temperature, local densities) and individual (e.g., sex, age, body, and nutritional conditions) variables.

Microarrayed Allergen Molecules Distinguish IgE Sensitisation to Blomia tropicalis and Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
This study established a microarray containing a representative panel of purified Blo t and Der p allergens for the identification of patients sensitised to Blo t and/or Der p. Results indicate that the microarray based on Blo t and Der p allergens is a useful tool for the identification of Blo t‐ and/or Der p‐sensitised patients. The microarray may be

HSCO$^+$ and DSCO$^+$: a multi-technique approach in the laboratory for the spectroscopy of interstellar ions

open access: yes, 2018
Protonated molecular species have been proven to be abundant in the interstellar gas. This class of molecules is also pivotal for the determination of important physical parameters for the ISM evolution (e.g. gas ionisation fraction) or as tracers of non-

Hydraulic and malleable female‐to‐male penile implants after phalloplasty in transgender individuals: a retrospective cohort analysis

open access: yesBJU International, EarlyView.
Objectives To provide a comprehensive summary of the surgical outcomes of Zephyr Surgical Implants (ZSI; Geneva, Switzerland) hydraulic and malleable female‐to‐male (FTM) penile implants (PIs) in transgender patients. Patients and Methods All transgender patients who underwent hydraulic (ZSI FTM 475) and malleable (ZSI FTM 100) erectile device ...

Model of Low-pass Filtering of Local Field Potentials in Brain Tissue

open access: yes, 2005
Local field potentials (LFPs) are routinely measured experimentally in brain tissue, and exhibit strong low-pass frequency filtering properties, with high frequencies (such as action potentials) being visible only at very short distances ($\approx$10 ...

Out with the old, in with the new? A retrospective comparison of malleable erectile implants in phalloplasty

open access: yesBJU International, EarlyView.
Objective To compare the long‐term outcomes of the two main types of malleable erectile implants after phalloplasty in transgender men: models originally designed for cisgender men (conventional models) or the more recently developed Zephyr Surgical Implants (Geneva, Switzerland) female‐to‐male 100 implant (ZSI FtM 100) specifically for phalloplasty ...

Outcome and preferences in female-to-male subjects with gender dysphoria: Experience from Eastern India

open access: yesIndian Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism, 2016
Context: Awareness of gender dysphoria (GD) and its treatment is increasing. There is paucity of scientific data from India regarding the therapeutic options being used for alleviating GD, which includes psychotherapy, hormone, and surgical treatments ...

Amyloid‐β aggregates induce vasculopathy via ferroptosis in brain endothelial cells

open access: yesBrain Pathology, EarlyView.
Blood–brain barrier (BBB) disruption is evident in brains with amyloidopathy. In this study, we demonstrate that amyloid β (Aβ) drives abnormal lipid metabolism and lipid droplet formation in brain endothelial cells, leading to lipid peroxidation and ferroptosis.
