An Overview of FTTH for Optical Network

Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering, 2021
This paper represents the work of optical fiber and how it is beneficial for human being. Optical fiber communication is fastest communication as compare to others. The speed of optical fiber communication is just same as speed of light. The loss is minimum in optical fiber communication so that we can transmit the data as far as we want. In this paper,

On cost of the uniformity in FTTH network design

2017 19th International Conference on Transparent Optical Networks (ICTON), 2017
The research aims in estimating the impact of various levels of administratively imposed structural regularities and equipment uniformities on FTTH network designs. We enhance our FTTH network optimization platform with algorithms that allow imposing additional constraints on the returned solutions.

Triplexer Chips for FTTH

ACTA PHOTONICA SINICA, 2011
A triplexer was fabricated based on asymmetric Y branch waveguides Cascade Multimode interference(MMI) for fiber to the home(FTTH).The simulation results of spectral response show that output optical fields are clearly. And the demultiplexing function for download 1 490 nm and 1 550 nm and multiplexing function for upload 1 310 nm were achieved. The ...

Evolutions for FTTH Deployment in the Access Network

IEEE GLOBECOM 2008 - 2008 IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, 2008
This paper considers the optical access networks deployment in France and the main technical challenges which are associated to such deployments. Possible evolutions of broadband optical networks are discussed, with the need for adapting both metropolitan and access networks to the customer service demand evolution.

Uncertainty in FTTH splitter installation

Networks, 2017
In this article, a problem of rational splitter installation in Fiber‐to‐the‐Home (FTTH) networks is considered. The most expensive and time consuming part of the FTTH deployment is trenching and other labor involved in cable installation. When cables are deployed, the operator can start to connect customers to the network.
