An ANGPTL8‐AKT2‐mTOR Axis Drives Adipose Senescence and Aging‐Related Functional Decline
Aging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 8, August 2026.ANGPTL8 increases with age in humans and mice and serves as a key predictor of biological aging and mortality. Adipocyte‐derived ANGPTL8 promotes cellular senescence through AKT2–mTOR signaling, whereas genetic deletion of Angptl8 attenuates adipose tissue aging and extends lifespan.
