High‐Performance Zero‐Gap Glycerol‐Fed Electrolyzer for C3 Chemicals and Hydrogen Production

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a dynamic, self‐regulating operation strategy that enables selective glycerol electrooxidation in the OER‐free regime, co‐producing C3 chemicals and hydrogen at cell voltages below 1.25 V. Voltage‐ and temperature‐resolved analyses define optimal operating conditions, achieving a sustained current density of 500 mA cm−2 at ∼1.21 V ...

Autonomous Hydrogel Actuators Programmed by Endogenous Biochemical Logic for Dual‐Stage Morphing and Drug Release

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printed BSA–PEGDA bilayer actuator performs biochemical logic, bending autonomously in acid and releasing its drug payload only when both acid and pepsin are present. This dual‐stage, enzyme‐gated mechanism enables autonomous catch‐and‐release motion and controlled gastric drug delivery, representing a programmable soft material powered by ...

Effects of inlet air holes on swirl flow characteristics and outlet temperature distribution in an axial swirl combustor

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering
The air inlet holes on the swirl combustor are crucial for high-performance micro gas turbine (MGT), affecting internal airflow, fuel-air mixing, temperature distribution, and cooling. However, there are seldom studies that pay attention to the influence

INDUCTIVELY COUPLED PLASMA MASS SPECTROMETRY FOR THE DETERMINATION OF 237Np IN SPENT NUCLEAR FUEL SAMPLES BY ISOTOPE DILUTION METHOD USING 239Np AS A SPIKE

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology, 2013
A determination method for 237Np in spent nuclear fuel samples was developed using an isotope dilution method with 239Np as a spike. In this method, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) was taken for the 237Np instead of the previously ...

Engineering Bilayer Tandem Catalysts on Si‐Based Photocathodes for High‐performance CO2 Reduction to Produce Methane

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A Cu/Ag‐Cu bilayer tandem catalyst is designed for a pyramid‐structured p‐Si photocathode, creating multiple and functionally distinct interfaces tailored to specific reaction steps and intermediate stabilization. This Cu/Ag‐Cu‐decorated p‐Si photocathode exhibits both high photocurrent and good selectivity for photoelectrochemical CO2 reduction to CH4.
