Fujita modified exponent for scale invariant damped semilinear wave equations [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Evolution Equations, 2021
AbstractThe aim of this paper is to prove a blow-up result of the solution for a semilinear scale invariant damped wave equation under a suitable decay condition on radial initial data. The admissible range for the power of the nonlinear term depends both on the damping coefficient and on the pointwise decay order of the initial data.

Van der Waals Heterostructures for Next‐Generation Spintronics: Multiferroic‐Mediated Magnetoelectric Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
As CMOS technology approaches fundamental energy limits, new paradigms for low‐power information processing are required. Magnetic systems are attractive for their spin transport, yet current‐induced magnetization control is energy inefficient. Multiferroic heterostructures enable energy‐efficient electric field manipulation of magnetism.

Targeting the YAP‐BST2 Axis Overcomes Intrinsic Anti‐PD‐1 Resistance in Metastatic Gastric Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Concurrent YAP hyperactivation and Tp53 loss in Atp4b‐expressed parietal cell lineage drives gastric cancer initiation, multi‐organ metastasis, and intrinsic resistance to anti‐PD‐1 therapy. BST2 emerges as a direct YAP‐TEAD transcriptional target that engages PIRA2 on myeloid cells to establish an immunosuppressive microenvironment.

The Stability of Passenger Vehicles at Tornado Wind Intensities of the (Enhanced) Fujita Scale

open access: yesWeather, Climate, and Society, 2016
Abstract Two independent datasets (total n = 959) of tornado-stricken passenger vehicles collected from 12 tornado events over a 15-yr time span are combined and tested to determine whether vehicle movement and/or upset are consistent at various wind speed intensities.

Current Status and Future Perspectives of Robotic Surgery for Esophagogastric Cancer in Asia

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Robotic‐assisted surgery (RAS) has moved from an experimental adjunct to an increasingly established component of gastrointestinal (GI) oncological practice in parts of Asia, a region that carries a disproportionately high burden of gastric and esophageal cancer. Asian surgeons have been among the earliest and most prolific contributors to the
