Short‐Wavelength Infrared Imaging with Organic Photodetectors Based on Non‐Fullerene Acceptors with Detection above 1200 nm

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Solution‐processed organic photodetectors (OPDs) based on two novel low band gap non‐fullerene acceptors BZIC‐2F and BZIC‐2Cl, when blended with common polymer donor P3HT, extend detection range beyond 1200 nm with superior performance, rivaling costly inorganic sensors and past literature.

Application of Laplace Domain Waveform Inversion to Cross-Hole Radar Data

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2019
Full waveform inversion (FWI) can yield high resolution images and has been applied in Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) for around 20 years. However, appropriate selection of the initial models is important in FWI because such an inversion is highly ...

The Full Waveform Acoustic Log Inversion Problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
This paper presents the full waveform acoustic log inversion problem for a multisource - multireceiver tool logging a cylindrical fluid-filled borehole. The problem is formulated in the frequency-depth domain. A priori knowledge about the source array

Extrapolated full-waveform inversion (EFWI) with synthesized low-frequency data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The availability of low frequency data is an important factor in the success of full waveform inversion (FWI) in the acoustic regime. The low frequencies help determine the kinematically relevant, low-wavenumber components of the velocity model, which ...

Neuromorphic Electronics for Intelligence Everywhere: Emerging Devices, Flexible Platforms, and Scalable System Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The perspective presents an integrated view of neuromorphic technologies, from device physics to real‐time applicability, while highlighting the necessity of full‐stack co‐optimization. By outlining practical hardware‐level strategies to exploit device behavior and mitigate non‐idealities, it shows pathways for building efficient, scalable, and ...

Evolutionary full-waveform inversion

open access: yes, 2021
We present a new approach to full-waveform inversion (FWI) that enables the assimilation of data sets that expand over time without the need to reinvert all data. This evolutionary inversion rests on a reinterpretation of stochastic Limited-memory Broyden–Fletcher–Goldfarb–Shanno (L-BFGS), which randomly exploits redundancies to achieve convergence ...

Hydrogel‐Based Airway‐on‐Tube With Perfusable Endothelial Lumen and Outward Epithelialization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A hydrogel‐based airway‐on‐tube platform featuring a perfusable endothelial lumen and outward epithelialization is presented. The system supports primary human bronchial epithelial and lung microvascular endothelial coculture under air‐liquid interface conditions.

Estimation Of Formation Parameters Using Full Waveform Acoustic and Shear Wave Logs [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
A combination of borehole Stoneley waves from full waveform acoustic logs and direct shear wave logs was used to estimate formation permeability and shear wave velocity.

3D Printed Multimaterial Microfluidic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We introduce a biocompatible, high resolution photopolymer resin that closely mimics the Young's Modulus (elasticity) and reversible stretchability (no hysteresis) of poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS), enabling the fabrication of microfluidic transistors (i.e., microvalves capable of proportional amplification) by multimaterial stereolithography (mSLA ...
