Abstract Full-scale structural testing is a critical component of the development, certification, and qualification of aerospace composite structures, providing the most realistic assessment of a structure's in-service performance by evaluating the interrelationships of its critical elements under simulated loading conditions.

Resonance Testing of Full-Scale Structures
Journal of the Engineering Mechanics Division, 1964A system of synchronized counter-rotating eccentric weight vibration generators suitable for resonance testing of full-scale structures is described. A special electronically controlled amplidyne drive permits speed control to 0.1% and stable operation in structures having damping as low as 1/2% critical. The force generator units can be distributed in

Full-Scale Load Testing of Structures
1980Description A comprehensive guide for load tests on full-scale buildings. This guide complements existing standards for load tests of materials and structural elements. This volume is divided into 2 sections: Objectives, Scope and Techniques of Full-Scale Structural Load Tests; and Application and Interpretation of Results of Load Tests.

Full Scale Wing Fatigue Testing
1957The problem of fatigue in aircraft structures has been under investigation for many years. Much work has been accomplished in testing and evaluating the effects of different cyclic loads primarily upon material coupons, typical joints, and small component parts.

Simulation of Cyclic Full-Scale Tests
2018This chapter presents results of numerical simulations of cyclic large-scale tests described in Chap. 5, using various constitutive models including some described in Chap. 6 and material properties identified with material (small-scale) test data obtained in Chaps. 2 and 3.

Simulation of Monotonic Full-Scale Tests
2018This chapter presents the results of numerical simulations of monotonic large-scale tests described in Chap. 4, using constitutive models described in Chap. 6 and material properties identified with material (small-scale) test data obtained in Chap. 2.

Evaluation of Performance by Full-Scale Testing
1980This paper presents an extension of topics related to full-scale structural testing that were discussed during the Engineering Foundation Conference held in Rindge, N. H., in 1976. It amplifies the role that full-scale testing has had in the evaluation of performance of structures.

Full-Scale Burst Tests With Hydrogen
Volume 2A: Pipeline and Facilities IntegrityAbstract Five full-scale burst tests in hydrogen and four in water have been conducted on nominally identical pairs of vessels containing nominally identical defects to investigate the effect of hydrogen on the burst strength of defects in pipelines. A short section of line pipe cut from a pipeline commissioned in 1969 was
