Identification of and correction for publication bias
Some empirical results are more likely to be published than others. Such selective publication leads to biased estimates and distorted inference. This paper proposes two approaches for identifying the conditional probability of publication as a function ...

CRISPR/Cas13a: Compensatory Target Activation Mechanism
CRISPR/Cas13a‐CTAM as a novel compensatory target activation mechanism that enables synergistic activation of Cas13a via two independently editable short RNA effectors. This dual‐effector system maintains enzymatic activity comparable to traditional single‐effector while significantly enhancing flexibility, sensitivity, and application scope.

A goodness-of-fit test for parametric and semi-parametric models in multiresponse regression
We propose an empirical likelihood test that is able to test the goodness of fit of a class of parametric and semi-parametric multiresponse regression models.

Discovering Interpretable Semantics from Radio Signals for Contactless Cardiac Monitoring
This study presents a semantic representation framework for clinically interpretable cardiac monitoring from contactless radio signals. It formulates radio semantic learning as an information‐bottleneck problem and approximates the objective via intra‐modal compression and cross‐modal alignment, structuring radio measurements into meaningful semantic ...

Count data models with variance of unknown form: an application to a hedonic model of worker absenteeism [PDF]
We examined an econometric model of counts of worker absences due to illness. The underlying theoretical model is of a sluggishly adjusting hedonic labor market.

Modeling US housing prices by spatial dynamic structural equation models
This article proposes a spatial dynamic structural equation model for the analysis of housing prices at the State level in the USA. The study contributes to the existing literature by extending the use of dynamic factor models to the econometric analysis

PAIR: Reconstructing Single‐Cell Open‐Chromatin Landscapes for Transcription Factor Regulome Mapping
scATAC‐seq analysis is often constrained by limited sequencing depth, extreme sparsity, and pervasive technical missingness. PAIR is a probabilistic framework that restores scATAC‐seq accessibility profiles by directly modeling the native cell–peak bipartite structure of chromatin accessibility.

Programmable RNA N6,2´‐O‐Dimethyladenosine Editing
ABSTRACT N6,2’‐O‐dimethyladenosine (m6Am) is a prevalent RNA modification located at the first transcribed nucleotide adjacent to the 5′ cap of mRNAs, where it has been implicated in gene regulation. However, the lack of methods for precise, transcript‐specific manipulation of m6Am has limited its functional dissection.

A Non-Experimental Evaluation of Curriculum Effectiveness in Math [PDF]
We use non-experimental data from a large panel of schools and districts in Indiana to evaluate the impacts of math curricula on student achievement. Using matching methods, we obtain causal estimates of curriculum effects at just a fraction of what it ...

This study demonstrates significantly reduced Lkb1 expression in CD11c+ cells in chronic pancreatitis (CP) patients and animal models. Lkb1 deletion enhances CD11c+CD206+ macrophage infiltration and reprograms pancreatic stellate cells (PSCs) via OSM signaling.
