Optimal Shapes of Fully Embedded Channels for Conjugate Cooling
Advanced Energy Systems, 1999Abstract Optimal shapes and geometries are determined for systems involving liquid and gas coolants. The shape of the channel boundary, channel width, and wall thickness are varied to minimize overall thermal resistance under flow constraints involving pressure drop and pump work.

Macrocyclic Aromaticity of Porphyrin Units in Fully Conjugated Oligoporphyrins
The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2012Individual porphyrin macrocycles in fully conjugated oligoporphyrins exhibit different degrees of macrocyclic aromaticity. We proposed a theoretical method for estimating the degrees of macrocyclic aromaticity of these porphyrin units. This method, based on the concept of bond resonance energy, is applicable to all types of porphyrin oligomers. We then

A novel fully conjugated phenanthroline-appended phthalocyanine: synthesis and characterisation
Chemical Communications, 2002The synthetic route to a new fully conjugated phenanthroline appended phthalocyanine is described. This compound has been fully characterised by elemental analysis, UV-VIS, IR, MS and 1H NMR spectroscopy.

Linear fully conjugated meso-aryl pentapyrrins
Tetrahedron Letters, 2009A meso-2,6-dichlorophenyl pentapyrrin was prepared using a modified method for dipyrrane synthesis followed by simple DDQ oxidation. The fully conjugated structures formed via redox inter-conversions were studied using crystallographic as well as observed and calculated spectral data.

Synthesis and characterization of fully conjugated porphyrin tapes
Israel Journal of Chemistry, 2005Abstractmeso‐meso, ß‐ß, ß‐ß Triply‐linked zinc(II) porphyrin tapes were synthesized by powerful oxidation of meso‐meso‐linked zinc(II) porphyrin arrays up to tetramers with DDQ‐Sc(OTf)3. Coordination of butylamine to zinc(II) ions of porphyrin rings dissociates their aggregation, resulting in clear NMR spectra and sharper red‐shifted absorption bands.

Synthesis and Properties of a New Class of Fully Conjugated Azahexacene Analogues
Angewandte Chemie, 2014AbstractAcenes are a traditional class of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) which attracted considerable interest during the last decade because of their outstanding p‐channel semiconductor properties. More recently, N‐heteroacenes have been prepared.

Fully numerical solution of photorefractive phase conjugation of pulses
Optical Society of America Annual Meeting, 1991We present a full numerical solution of phase conjugation of pulses in photorefractive media by four-wave mixing, solving the linearized Kukhtarev equations.1 The procedure avoids analytical reflectivity and its complexity as a required intermediate step by directly producing final data, in either the stable and unstable regimen.1 We compare our ...

Two regioisomeric ladder polymers with a fully conjugated or cross-conjugated polyacene-type skeleton have been made by combining transition-metal-catalyzed aryl–aryl coupling and dehydrating post-polymerization cyclization. The regioisomeric variation results from a simple change in the monomers’ substitution pattern and gives rise to a fully ...

Synthesis and polymerisation of fully conjugated polyether-substituted terthiophenes
Synthetic Metals, 2003A range of 3'-styryl polyether-functionalised terthiophene monomers were synthesised via Horner-Emmons reactions, and electrochemical and chemical polymerizations were carried out on some of these compounds. Analysis of the products by UV/VIS, MALDI-MS and NMR revealed that they exclusively form 'head-to-head' dimers.
