Study on the Partial Paste Backfill Mining Method in a Fully Mechanized Top-Coal Caving Face: Case Study from a Coal Mine, China

open access: yesSustainability
Paste backfill mining is an significant part of green coal mining, which can improve resource utilization and extend the service life of mines. It is important for solving the “three under, one above” mining problem and avoiding industrial wastes such as

Narrow Pillar Mining Technology of Fully Mechanized Sublevel Caving Faced with Great Cutting Height in Tashan Mine

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
Based on the great thickness of coal seam in Tashan Mine, narrow pillar mining technology was adopted to liberate more coal resources from coal pillars. In this paper, the research status of narrow pillar technology was analyzed, and the main problems of the narrow pillar mining technique were solved by theory research.

Design and Optimization of the Exhausting-Flowing Remover in Fully-Mechanized Top-Coal Caving Mining Face

Advanced Materials Research, 2011
Because of its high output, much more dust is produced in fully-mechanized Longwall mining with top-coal caving (LMTC) mining faces than in conventional mechanized mining faces without top-coal caving. Now dust control in fully-mechanized LMTC mining faces has become a key technological problem needed to be solved.

Optimization and Application of High Production and High Efficiency Mining Parameters of Fully Mechanized Caving Face

Advanced Materials Research, 2011
The size of the fully mechanized caving face is optimized by theoretical analysis and the dip length of the face is determined as 260m. With the method of numerical simulation, the reasonable cutting height of the face is determined as 3.5m and the caving method is determined as one round caving in order.
