PROCJENA RIZIKA KOD ŠIROKOČELNOGA PRIDOBIVANJA UGLJENA USLIJED SLOMA RADNOG ČELA [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Face failure is a typical phenomenon in longwall coal mines that can have a wide range of consequences. Face failure, which includes wall spall and roof collapse occurrences, is a hazardous virus that, if not managed, spreads fast across all stages of ...

Fracture evolution of a thick soft protection layer and the water inrush mechanism in overburden under longwall mining

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
Through shear–tensile creep tests and viscoelastic modeling, the fracture evolution of thick soft protective layers is clarified. Results show thickness‐dependent rheological failure modes that govern four types of roof water inrush, providing a mechanism‐based framework for hazard prediction and control. Abstract In the Jurassic coal‐bearing strata of

Mechanism and disaster control new technology of strong ground pressure manifestation in ultra‐large mining face

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
In response to the problem of strong mining pressure manifestation along the goaf roadway in a thick coal seam mining area, this study uses a new type of combined blasting roof cutting technology to effectively control the manifestation and deformation of mining pressure along the goaf roadway.

Geochemical Characterization and Prediction of Water Accumulation in the Goaf under Extra-Thick Fully Mechanized Top-Coal-Caving Mining

open access: yesWater
In multi-seam coal mining, the water accumulation in the goaf of the upper coal seam will seriously threaten the safety of the lower coal-seam recovery.

Interpretable Tree‐Based Models for Predicting Short‐Term Rockburst Risk Considering Multiple Factors

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
Interpretable tree‐based models integrate microseismic, geological, and mining indicators to predict short‐term rockburst risk. SHAP analysis reveals the dominant role of energy‐related features and clarifies nonlinear factor interactions, enabling transparent and reliable early‐warning in deep coal mines.

Design of Initial Mining Pressure Relief Scheme for Large‐Size Mining Face: A Case Study

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 4, April 2026.
The numerical simulation analysis method is used to compare the actual mining face (315 m) with the designed mining face (200 m). The results show that the large mining height working face has larger abutment pressure peak and stress concentration factor than the general mining height working face.

An analytical methodology of rock burst with fully mechanized top-coal caving mining in steeply inclined thick coal seam

open access: yesScientific Reports
Rock burst disaster is still one of the most serious dynamic disasters in coal mining, seriously restricting the safety of coal mining. The b value is the main parameter for monitoring rock burst, and by analyzing its changing characteristics, it can ...

Similar Material Simulation Study on Dam Movement and Deformation Law of Deep Coal Seam Mining Under Dam

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 4, Page 1808-1821, April 2026.
Aiming at the difficulties in accurately calculating the movement and deformation of small‐sized, deep‐buried dams with a significant height‐to‐depth ratio in deep fully mechanized caving mining, this study proposes to separate the analysis of surface and dam deformation.
