Biological decomposition of fulvic acid preparations
Folia Microbiologica, 1976Decomposition of preparations of various fractions of fulvic acids in pure cultures of bacteria and in the soil was investigated. In the soils enriched with fulvic acids the amount of bacteria increased, oxygen consumption and formation of carbon dioxide followed a typical sigmoid curve.

Polarity based fractionation of fulvic acids
Chemosphere, 2009Fulvic acids from the soil of Peking University (PF) and a Nordic river (NF) were separated into well defined sub-fractions using sequential elution techniques based on eluent polarity. The chemical properties of the fractions including: PF1 and NF1 (eluted by 0.01 M HCl), PF2 and NF2 (eluted by 0.01 M HCl+20% methanol), PF3 and NF3 (eluted by 0.01 M ...

Effects of fulvic acids on goat sperm
Zygote, 2018SummaryThe effects of adding fulvic acids (FAs) to semen extenders on the quality parameters of frozen–thawed goat buck spermatozoa remain undetermined. Buck semen samples collected from six mature goat bucks once a week were diluted with Tris–egg yolk-based extenders.

Kinetics of aluminum-fulvic acid complexation in acidic waters
Environmental Science & Technology, 1987A fluorescence technique has been used to study the complex formation kinetics of aluminum with a single metal-free fulvic acid isolated from an Adirondack Mountain forest soil. In the pH range of 3.0-4.5, two kinetically distinguishable components of the fulvic acid mixture have been identified, which define two types of average aluminum binding sites.

Talanta, 1995
The binding of cadmium to a fulvic acid (FA) extracted from peat was studied as a function of pH (4-8), ionic strength (0.01 and 0.10 M NaNo(3)) and ratio of fulvic acid to metal ion concentrations (FA Cd = 8, 4 , and 2). An overall complex formation function of approximately 10(3.14) was determined to enable comparison with previous studies ...

The dissolution of micas by fulvic acid
Geoderma, 1976Abstract Three micas commonly occurring in soils, that is, biotite, phlogopite and muscovite, were shaken with 0.2% (W/V) aqueous fulvic acid (FA) solution for 710 h at room temperature. Proportions of major constituent elements extracted (Fe, Al, Mg, K and Si from biotite, Al, Mg, K and Si from phlogopite and Al, K and Si from muscovite) were ...

Chemical Characteristics of Fulvic Acids
Journal AWWA, 1963In the first article of this series on the nature of organic compounds that cause color in natural waters (BLACK, A. P. & CHRISTMAN, R. F. Characteristics of Colored Surface Waters. Jour. AWWA, 55 :753 [Jun. 1963]), data was presented concerning the physical and chemical properties of colored raw waters. This article discusses experimental evidence

Adsorption of fulvic acid on goethite
Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta, 2000The adsorption of fulvic acid by goethite was determined experimentally as a function of concentration, pH, and ionic strength. The data were described with the CD-MUSIC model of Hiemstra and Van Riemsdijk (1996), which allows the distribution of charge of the bound fulvate molecule over a surface region. Simultaneously, the concentration, pH, and salt

Fulvic acid in broiler growing
