Analysis of Fumigants and Fumigant Residues
Journal of Chromatographic Science, 1975The terms fumigant and fumigant residue are defined. Interrelationships between physically and chemically bound residues, storage environments, nature of the substrate and other influencing factors are outlined. Analytical methods include polarography by DME and RPE, titrimetry, spectrophotometry, and GC with microthermal conductivity, hydrogen flame ...

Spot Fumigation: Fumigant Gas Dispersion and Emission Characteristics
Environmental Science & Technology, 2009Reducing emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from fumigant pesticides is mandatory in California, especially in "nonattainment areas" like the San Joaquin Valley that do not meet federal air quality standards. A two-year field study was conducted to examine the feasibility of site-specific fumigant application only at future tree sites with ...

Trichloracetonitrile as a fumigant
Annals of Applied Biology, 1944The comparative toxicities of trichloracetonitrile to various insects infesting stored products and houses have been determined. The toxicity is increased by the addition of 10% or more of carbon dioxide. In the fumigation of bulk wheat trichloracetonitrile compares favourably with ethylene oxide.
