Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Automated FRAP microscopy for high‐throughput analysis of protein dynamics in chromatin organization and transcription

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
RoboMic is an automated confocal microscopy pipeline for high‐throughput functional imaging in living cells. Demonstrated with fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP), it integrates AI‐driven nuclear segmentation, ROI selection, bleaching, and analysis.

Advanced Stability Analysis of Regularized Newton Methods for Monotone Inclusions With Bounded Variation

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics
This paper presents a comprehensive stability analysis of regularized Newton methods for solving monotone inclusion problems of the form 0∈Ax+Fx, where A is a maximal monotone operator and F is a Lipschitz continuous operator with bounded variation.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

One-dimensional adhesion model for large scale structures

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2010
We discuss initial value problems and initial boundary value problems for some systems of partial differential equations appearing in the modelling for the large scale structure formation in the universe.

Differential regulation of ZFAS1 splice variants by endoplasmic reticulum stress in hepatocyte cell lines

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ZFAS1 is a lncRNA promoting cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting high expression in various cancers. It is conserved, widely expressed, and produces multiple splice variants with unclear roles. We identified several splice variants in hepatocyte models, and found that inhibiting or suppressing regulators of the unfolded protein response (PERK ...

A linear functional differential equation with distributions in the input

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2003
This paper studies the functional differential equation $$ dot x(t) = int_a^t {d_s R(t,s), x(s)} + F'(t), quad t in [a,b], $$ where $F'$ is a generalized derivative, and $R(t,cdot)$ and $F$ are functions of bounded variation. A solution is defined by the

Grüss–Ostrowski inequalities and bounded variation

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications
In this note, we establish corresponding Grüss–Ostrowski-type inequalities for functions with bounded variation. As an application, we provide some estimates for the error in numerical integration rules and estimation for the cumulative distribution ...
