The error between appropriately smooth functions and their radial basis function interpolants, as the interpolation points fill out a bounded domain in R^d, is a well studied artifact. In all of these cases, the analysis takes place in a natural function

Remarks on the Formulation of Quantum Mechanics on Noncommutative Phase Spaces [PDF]
We consider the probabilistic description of nonrelativistic, spinless one-particle classical mechanics, and immerse the particle in a deformed noncommutative phase space in which position coordinates do not commute among themselves and also with ...

Isometries of a function space
It is proved here that an isometry on the subset of all positive functions of L1⋂Lp(ℝ) can be characterized by means of a function h together with a Borel measurable mapping ϕ of ℝ, thus generalizing the Banach-Lamparti theorem of Lp spaces.

A study of function space topologies for multifunctions
Function space topologies are investigated for the class of continuous multifunctions. Using the notion of continuous convergence, splittingness and admissibility are discussed for the topologies on continuous multifunctions. The theory of net of sets is

Function-space compactifications of function spaces
The paper presents a nice discussion of applications of the theory of continuous lattices in topology and analysis. We mention two pure topological results which are consequences of more general results: (1) If \(X\) and \(Y\) are compact Hausdorff spaces, then the space \(C_k(X,Y)\) of continuous mappings from \(X\) into \(Y\) with the compact-open ...

Wigner phase space distribution as a wave function
We demonstrate that the Wigner function of a pure quantum state is a wave function in a specially tuned Dirac bra-ket formalism and argue that the Wigner function is in fact a probability amplitude for the quantum particle to be at a certain point of the

On Pervin's example concerning the connected-open topology
Irudayanathan and Naimpally [1] introduced a topology for function spaces (called the connected-open topology) which has the property that the connected functions form a closed set provided that the codomain is completely normal.

STRUCTURAL FEATURES OF SMALL LANDSCAPED SPACES IN MODERN CITIES
The article examines the structure and characteristics of small green spaces. The novelty of the research work lies in the introduction of the term "small green space" into scientific circulation and determination of the relationship between its ...

Quantum Thetas on Noncommutative T^4 from Embeddings into Lattice
In this paper we investigate the theta vector and quantum theta function over noncommutative T^4 from the embedding of R x Z^2. Manin has constructed the quantum theta functions from the lattice embedding into vector space (x finite group).
