A unified view on beamformers for M/EEG source reconstruction

open access: yesNeuroImage, 2022
Beamforming is a popular method for functional source reconstruction using magnetoencephalography (MEG) and electroencephalography (EEG) data. Beamformers, which were first proposed for MEG more than two decades ago, have since been applied in hundreds ...

MVDR-LSTM Distance Estimation Model Based on Diagonal Double Rectangular Array

open access: yesSensors, 2023
Deep learning algorithms have the advantages of a powerful time series prediction ability and the real-time processing of massive samples of big data. Herein, a new roller fault distance estimation method is proposed to address the problems of the simple

Adaptive Radial Basis Function Detector for Beamforming [PDF]

open access: yes2007 IEEE International Conference on Communications, 2007
We consider nonlinear detection in rank-deficient multiple-antenna assisted beamforming systems. By exploiting the inherent symmetry of the underlying optimal Bayesian detection solution, a symmetric radial basis function (RBF) detector is proposed and two adaptive algorithms are developed for training the proposed RBF detector.

A Sound Source Identification Algorithm Based on Bayesian Compressive Sensing and Equivalent Source Method

open access: yesSensors, 2020
Near-field acoustic holography (NAH) based on equivalent source method (ESM) is an effective method for identifying sound sources. Conventional ESM focuses on relatively low frequencies and cannot provide a satisfactory solution at high frequencies.

Information flows from hippocampus to auditory cortex during replay of verbal working memory items

open access: yeseLife, 2022
The maintenance of items in working memory (WM) relies on a widespread network of cortical areas and hippocampus where synchronization between electrophysiological recordings reflects functional coupling. We investigated the direction of information flow

Clustering-Based Symmetric Radial Basis Function Beamforming [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2007
We propose a clustering-based symmetric radial basis function (SRBF) detector for multiple-antenna assisted beamforming systems. By exploiting the inherent symmetry of the underlying optimal Bayesian detection solution, this SRBF detector is capable of realizing the optimal Bayesian performance by clustering noisy observation data using an enhanced K ...

External ear transfer function modeling: A beamforming approach [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1992
In this article, a beamformer is proposed as a functional model for the spatial and temporal filtering characteristics of the external ear. The output of a beamformer is a weighted combination of the data received at an array of spatially distributed sensors.

Transmit Beamforming for MIMO Dual Functional Radar-Communication With IQI

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2023
Multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) dual-functional radar communication (DFRC) provides a solution to the severe spectrum scarcity challenge. MIMO systems may be prone to the hardware impairments (HWI). Considering I/Q-imbalance (IQI), the most common type of HWI, we study the optimal transmit beamforming design for MIMO DFRC.
