Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Topography and behavioral relevance of the global signal in the human brain
The global signal in resting-state functional MRI data is considered to be dominated by physiological noise and artifacts, yet a growing literature suggests that it also carries information about widespread neural activity.

Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Robust estimation in canonical correlation analysis for multivariate functional data
Summary: In this paper, the canonical correlation analysis for multivariate functional data is considered. The analysis is based on the basis functions representation of the data. The use of non-orthogonal bases is available in contrast to the approach given in the literature.

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

The general theory of canonical correlation and its relation to functional analysis [PDF]
The classical theory of canonical correlation is concerned with a standard description of the relationship between any linear combination of ρ random variablesxs, and any linear combination ofqrandom variablesytinsofar as this relation can be described in terms of correlation.

Adolescent brain maturation associated with environmental factors: a multivariate analysis
Human adolescence marks a crucial phase of extensive brain development, highly susceptible to environmental influences. Employing brain age estimation to assess individual brain aging, we categorized individuals (N = 7,435, aged 9–10 years old) from the ...
