Contextual dispatch for function specialization [PDF]
In order to generate efficient code, dynamic language compilers often need information, such as dynamic types, not readily available in the program source. Leveraging a mixture of static and dynamic information, these compilers speculate on the missing information.

CONTEXTUAL CONTROL BY FUNCTION AND FORM OF TRANSFER OF FUNCTIONS [PDF]
This study investigated conditions leading to contextual control by stimulus topography over transfer of functions. Three 4‐member stimulus equivalence classes, each consisting of four (A, B, C, D) topographically distinct visual stimuli, were established for 5 college students.

Contextual control of trigeminal sensorimotor function [PDF]
Simple actions, such as rhythmic tongue protrusions, forelimb facial strokes, and forelimb flails, are emitted by rats both during taste- elicited ingestion/aversion and during postprandial grooming. This study combined peripheral trigeminal deafferentation with a computer- assisted video analysis of action form to examine the use of cutaneous feedback

Contextual clustering for analysis of functional MRI data [PDF]
We present a contextual clustering procedure for statistical parametric maps (SPM) calculated from time varying three-dimensional images. The algorithm can be used for the detection of neural activations from functional magnetic resonance images (fMRI). An important characteristic of SPM is that the intensity distribution of background (nonactive area)

Getting Out of Language Cocoon: Cognitive Defusion
Treating thoughts directly in psychotherapies was disregarded until development of Cognitive Therapies. So-called distorted or irrational thoughts that are claimed to contribute psychopathology are subjected to Cognitive Therapies. In sessions, cognitive

On the functions, mechanisms, and malfunctions of intracortical contextual modulation [PDF]
A broad neuron-centric conception of contextual modulation is reviewed and re-assessed in the light of recent neurobiological studies of amplification, suppression, and synchronization. Behavioural and computational studies of perceptual and higher cognitive functions that depend on these processes are outlined, and evidence that those functions and ...

Learning Efficiently Function Approximation for Contextual MDP
We study learning contextual MDPs using a function approximation for both the rewards and the dynamics. We consider both the case that the dynamics dependent or independent of the context. For both models we derive polynomial sample and time complexity (assuming an efficient ERM oracle).

CONTEXTUAL CONTROL OF EQUIVALENCE‐BASED TRANSFORMATION OF FUNCTIONS [PDF]
The transformation of functions refers to the untrained acquisition of stimulus functions among members of stimulus equivalence classes or relational frames. Although it is widely assumed that contextual control over the transformation of functions must exist, this has not yet been conclusively demonstrated in laboratory studies.

This paper will explore the implications in relation to the possibility of making law students comprehend foreign legal terminology. The starting point of our analysis, our hypothesis, will be that the law student is not necessarily equipped with ...
