Remark to transformations of linear differential and functional-differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
summary:For linear differential and functional-differential equations of the $n$-th order criteria of equivalence with respect to the pointwise transformation are ...

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Total stability in abstract functional differential equations with infinite delay

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2000
For functional differential equations with infinite delay in a Banach space, an equivalent relationship between the BC-total stability and the $\rho$-total stability is investigated, and a result due to Murakami and Yoshizawa on functional differential ...

Oscillation of certain functional differential equations [PDF]

open access: yesComputers & Mathematics with Applications, 1994
The author presents several sufficient conditions for all bounded solutions to the linear system of delay differential equations \[ (-1)^{m+1}\frac {d^m y_i(t)}{d t^m}+\sum _{j=1}^{n}q_{ij}y_i(t-h_{ij})=0, \quad m\geq 1,\;i=1,2,\dots,n, \] to be oscillatory.

Uniform Persistence in Functional Differential Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
In this paper, we investigate the question of uniform persistence for retarded functional differential equations. By utilizing Liapunov-like functions, Razumikhin techniques, and differential inequalities, we are able to establish criteria for uniform ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Dynamics of cell growth: Exponential growth and division after a minimum cell size

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
In this paper, we consider a mathematical model for cell division using a Pantograph-type nonlocal partial differential equation, accompanied by relevant initial and boundary conditions. This formulation results in a nonlocal singular eigenvalue problem.

Exponential Dichotomies, the Fredholm Alternative, and Transverse Homoclinic Orbits in Partial Functional Differential Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
In this paper we investigate the transversality of homoclinic orbits in partial functional differential equations. We first discuss the exponential dichotomies for linear operator equations.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
