Restricted equivalence functions
Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 2006The paper deals with the treatment of images by means of fuzzy set theory, namely with the comparison of two images and with the distance measures used to order and measure the degrees of similarity by such a comparison. The paper contributes to this topic by introducing the function of restricted equivalence, and global image comparison measures. They

Equivalent Representations of Set Functions
Mathematics of Operations Research, 2000This paper introduces four alternative representations of a set function: the Möbius transformation, the co-Möbius transformation, and the interactions between elements of any subset of a given set as extensions of Shapley and Banzhaf values. The links between the five equivalent representations of a set function are emphasized in this presentation.

On the Δ-equivalence of Boolean functions
Discrete Mathematics and Applications, 2020Abstract A new equivalence relation on the set of Boolean functions is introduced: functions are declared to be Δ -equivalent if their autocorrelation functions are equal.

Functional Classes and Equivalence Relations. [PDF]
Three adult subjects were taught a set of two‐choice simultaneous discriminations, with three positive and three negative stimuli; all possible combinations of positive and negative stimuli yielded nine different pairs. The discriminations were repeatedly reversed and rereversed, the former positive stimuli becoming negative and the former negative ...

What can Large Language Models Capture about Code Functional Equivalence?
North American Chapter of the Association for Computational LinguisticsCode-LLMs, LLMs pre-trained on large code corpora, have shown great progress in learning rich representations of the structure and syntax of code, successfully using it to generate or classify code fragments.

The reduced cerebellar gray matter (GM) volume observed in highly hypnotizable individuals (highs) is likely due to the excessive release of endothelial nitric oxide in the brain and could account for their behavioral (postural and visuomotor control ...

On diagonal functions for equivalence relations
Archive for Mathematical Logic, 2023A diagonal function for an equivalence relation \(\sim\) on \(\omega\) is a total function \(f\) such that for all \(x\) in \(\omega\), \(x\not\sim f(x)\). Archetypical example: when \(m\sim n \leftrightarrow W_m=W_n\), the diagonal functions for \(\sim\) are, by definition, the fixed point free functions.

Equivalence for generalized Boolean functions
Advances in Mathematics of CommunicationsSummary: Equivalence plays a key-role for the classification of functions between elementary abelian groups \(\mathbb{V}_n^{(p)}\) and \(\mathbb{V}_k^{(p)} \). One distinguishes between affine equivalence, extended affine (EA) equivalence, and the most general CCZ-equivalence.
