IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems Part 1: Regular Papers
A design method based on event-triggered functional interval observers for estimating state vectors of a battery and motor circuit model (BMCM) is proposed in this paper. The main outputs of this paper are that, firstly, a novel battery and motor circuit

Finite time functional observers for descriptor systems. Application to fault tolerant control
2019 27th Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation (MED), 2019In this paper a new finite-time convergent functional dynamical observer design for descriptor systems is presented. The conditions for its existence and stability are given.

Admissibility of observation functionals
International Journal of Control, 1995The concept of infinite-time admissibility of unbounded observation functionals is introduced. Under the assumption of exponential stability of the semigroup, it is equivalent to finite-time admissibility recently investigated in Weiss (1988 b, 1989). Necessary and sufficient criteria for admissibility are given.

Observations on weight functions
Engineering Analysis with Boundary Elements, 1989Abstract This is a synopsis of the many facets of weight functions in two and three dimensions. Some new results are given for special cracks under plane strain deformation; for planar cracks in three-space it is shown how special Boussinesq-Papkovich potentials for mode I deformation can be used to construct weight functions for the shearing modes.

Remarks on Functional Observers for Distributed Parameter Systems
International Conference on Methods & Models in Automation & Robotics, 2018The paper deals with the output observation problem for a class of distributed parameter systems. We describe the design procedure by deriving sufficient conditions to be satisfied by a functional observer which does the job.

The Strong Functional Observers
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1984Abstract Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of strong functional observer are given. The class of all reconstructable state-input functions for linear system with unknown input is stated. An algorithm of observer matrices calculation is proposed.

Observing Behaviors in Functional Assessment
2021Many of the principles developed under the theories of operant conditioning and applied behavior analysis were later applied to functional assessment. This chapter covers the basic concepts of operational definitions, time sampling, frequency counts, inter-rater reliability, observer drift, and related principles.

Analytical synthesis of functional observers
Russian Aeronautics (Iz VUZ), 2013A technique for constructing the observers to evaluate a linear combination of state variables is considered. We propose an algorithm for analytical synthesis of the minimum-order functional observers based on the nondegenerate transformation of the object model in the state space using the matrix canonization technology.

Observing Functional Communication of Aphasic Adults
Journal of Speech and Hearing Disorders, 1982This paper summarized data obtained by observing the functional communication of 40 adult aphasic subjects who lived at home. It describes typical communication patterns by presenting three case histories and detailed reports of the actual observations.

Design of functional observer in transfer function form
Proceedings of the 1999 American Control Conference (Cat. No. 99CH36251), 1999In this paper an observer for a discrete-time linear system is designed in the form of transfer function. The exact reconstruction of the state from the input output data over the past finite period, called the reconstructor, is designed in the input and output relation and shown to be same as the finite settling observer if the measurement time is ...
