GRAPHENE: SYNTHESIS, FUNCTIONALIZATION AND PROPERTIES
Modern Physics Letters B, 2011Graphenes with varying number of layers can be synthesized by different strategies. Thus, single-layer graphene is obtained by the reduction of single layer graphene oxide, CVD and other methods besides micromechanical cleavage. Few-layer graphenes are prepared by the conversion of nanodiamond, arc-discharge of graphite and other means.

Functional vs. Non-functional Properties
2010THE SYN tools used throughout this monograph measure (for components) and predict (for systems) two behaviors: output (usually called ‘functional behavior’) and run time (an example of a contrasting ‘non-functional behavior’). As described in Chapter 14, the tools actually process as ‘run time’ an arbitrary secondary output from components and systems.

Functional Properties of Lignocellulosic Materials
2018Lignocellulosic materials have achieved a great recognition during the last years due to their structure and multiple functional properties. These materials when subjected to different pre-treatments are separated into cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin, and subsequently, they can be converted into high value-added by-products with specific ...

The filamins: properties and functions
Canadian Journal of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, 1985The filamins are a group of homologous proteins defined by their high native molecular weight (500 000), their amino acid compositions, their cross-reactivity to antibodies to heterologous filamins, their localization to actin networks and bundles in situ, and their ability to cross-link actin filaments in vitro into three-dimensional networks and ...

SOME PROPERTIES OF LEGENDRE FUNCTIONS
Analysis and Applications, 2004Some integral representations involving Legendre functions are given. Some are related to Bessel functions and their products. Others are concerned with zeros of Legendre functions and may provide a suitable basis for computational purposes.
