Palliative Debulking of an Aortic Body Tumour With Right Atrial Invasion in a Dog Under Partial Cardiopulmonary Bypass

This report describes a French Bulldog that developed severe right‐sided congestive heart failure due to mechanical obstruction of venous return by a heart‐base tumor extending into the right atrium. Partial cardiopulmonary bypass‐assisted palliative debulking relieved the obstruction and temporarily improved clinical signs and ascites.

Cardiac Structure and Function and Pulmonary Congestion Across New York Heart Association Classes in Patients With Acute Heart Failure

Higher NYHA class was associated with greater comorbidity burden and worse cardiac structure and function at baseline in patients with acute heart failure. Despite these differences, echocardiographic abnormalities improved at follow‐up, and 180‐day mortality or readmission did not differ significantly across NYHA classes.
