ABSTRACT Objectives Retrograde trans‐synaptic degeneration (rTSD) from posterior visual pathway lesions in multiple sclerosis (MS) is characterized by hemi‐macular ganglion cell‐inner plexiform layer (GCIPL) thinning and contralateral visual field loss.

Functionally Graded Structures
2020In the present chapter functionally graded materials (FGMs) and structures are presented. In particular, the static and free vibration problems of Timoshenko beams and Mindlin plates are studied. The buckling problem for both structures can be developed following analogous problems presented in Chap. 10 for Timoshenko beams and in Chap.

Functionally graded fluoridated apatites
Biomaterials, 1999Fluoridated hydroxyapatite was synthesized at 80 +/- 1 degree C and pH 7.4 +/- 0.2 using a gradient fluoride supply system. X-ray diffraction analysis showed a typically apatitic pattern, although the (3 0 0) reflection was broader than that of homogeneous fluorapatite.
