A New Quasi-3D Model for Functionally Graded Plates [PDF]
This article investigates the static behavior of functionally graded plate under mechanical loads by using a new quasi 3D model. The theory is designated as fifth-order shear and normal deformation theory (FOSNDT).

Aeroelastic tailoring of a plate wing with functionally graded materials [PDF]
This work explores the use of functionally graded materials for the aeroelastic tailoring of a metallic cantilevered plate-like wing. Pareto trade-off curves between dynamic stability (flutter) and static aeroelastic stresses are obtained for a variety of grading strategies.

On the Development of Refined Plate Theory for Static Bending Behavior of Functionally Graded Plates [PDF]
This work gives information about the development of refined plate theory to study the static bending behavior of functionally graded material (FGM) plates. The significant advantage of our proposed theory is that only one unknown variable exists in its displacement formula and governing equation.

Boundary element method applied to the bending analysis of thin functionally graded plates
The present work introduces the boundary element method applied to the bending analysis of functionally graded plates. It is assumed that material properties are graded through the thickness direction of the plate according to a power law distribution ...

Stress concentration analysis in functionally graded plates with elliptic holes under biaxial
Stress concentration factors (SCFs) at the root of an elliptic hole in unidirectional functionally graded material (UDFGM) plates under uniaxial and biaxial loads are predicted. ANSYS Parametric Design Language (APDL) was used to build the finite element

Experiments on deformation behaviour of functionally graded NiTi structures
Functionally graded NiTi structures benefit from the combination of the smart properties of NiTi and those of functionally graded structures. This article provides experimental data for thermomechanical deformation behaviour of microstructurally graded ...

Modal frequency analysis of metallic-ceramic functionally graded plates
Metallic-ceramic functionally graded materials have potential application value in the design of thermal barrier systems for aircraft panels due to their ultrahigh temperature resistant and high strength properties.

ABSTRACT Background Embryonal tumors comprise the majority of malignant central nervous system (CNS) neoplasms diagnosed in children under 3 years of age. Compared with their counterparts in older children, these tumors exhibit distinct molecular biology and a more aggressive clinical phenotype, while their management is complicated by the heightened ...
