ABSTRACT Background L‐asparaginase is a critical component in treatment protocols for pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Acute pancreatitis reactions can necessitate delays and, in some cases, discontinuation of L‐asparaginase, which compromises outcomes.

Investigation of functionally graded TPMS structures fabricated by additive manufacturing
Triply periodic minimal surfaces (TPMS), which have zero mean curvature and large surface areas, are discussed in this paper. Two TPMS structures, the Schwarz Primitive (P) and Gyroid, were designed with both uniform and graded density and fabricated ...

Receding Contact Problem of Multi-Layered Elastic Structures Involving Functionally Graded Materials
This paper studies a receding contact problem of a functionally graded layer laminate pressed against a functionally graded coated homogeneous half-plane substrate by a rigid flat indenter.

A quasi-3D hyperbolic shear deformation theory for functionally graded plates [PDF]
A quasi-3D hyperbolic shear deformation theory for functionally graded plates is developed. The theory accounts for both shear deformation and thickness-stretching effects by a hyperbolic variation of all displacements across the thickness, and satisfies

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Materials Design - Towards a Functionally Graded Electrical Conductor [PDF]
In this study, we discuss functionally graded (FG) materials as pulsed electrical conductors. These conductors can be designed to be more efficient and longer lasting by applying numerical modeling tools.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).
