Impact of wheat cultivar development on biomass and subsoil carbon input: a case study along an erosion-deposition gradient [PDF]

open access: yesBiogeosciences
Crop biomass, especially from belowground, improves soil health and recovery. However, the effects of cultivar traits and erosion on biomass production, particularly root biomass, remain unclear.

Probabilities of a lower-limit barrier in the problem of the identification of a barrier in the functioning of a certain inventory storage and issue system [PDF]

open access: yes
The paper investigates a barrier in the functioning of certain inventory system. Assuming that the storage input is a non-aggregated dynamic-parameter process, the paper derives a system of differential equations satisfied by the probabilities of a lower-

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Coupled hydro‐mechanical pore‐scale modeling of biopore‐coated clods for upscaling soil shrinkage and hydraulic properties

open access: yesVadose Zone Journal
Earthworms and plant roots are vital for macropore formation and stabilization. The organo‐mineral coating of biopore surfaces also regulates macropore‐matrix mass exchange during preferential flow.
