Which special functions of bounded deformation have bounded variation? [PDF]
Functions of bounded deformation (BD) arise naturally in the study of fracture and damage in a geometrically linear context. They are related to functions of bounded variation (BV), but are less well understood.

Decomposition of Functions of Bounded Variation
Cramer's theorem, that a normal distribution function $(\operatorname{df})$ has only normal components, is extended to a case where the components are allowed to be from a subclass $(B_1)$ of the functions of bounded variation other than the class of df's.

ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

Exploring error estimates of Newton-Cotes quadrature rules across diverse function classes
This in-depth study looks at symmetric four-point Newton-Cotes-type inequalities with a focus on error estimates for numerical integration. The precision of these estimates is explored across various classes of functions, including those with bounded ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Inclusions of Multivariable Bounded Variation Functions
In this paper, some characterizations of the embeddings Λ∗BVp⊆∗Hqω and Φ∗BV⊆BV∗q:δ are given. The results presented here generalize and extend earlier embedding results between related classes of functions of bounded variation.

On metric space valued functions of bounded essential variation [PDF]
Let ∅≠T ⊂ R and let X be a metric space. For an ideal J ⊂ P(T) and a function f:T-> X, we define the essential variation V Jess(f, T) as the in mum of all variations V (g; T) where g:T-> X, g = f on TE, and E in J.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
