Wave equation and dispersion relations for a compressible rotating fluid

open access: yes, 2006
A fundamental non-classical fourth-order partial differential equation to describe small amplitude linear oscillations in a rotating compressible fluid, is obtained.

Intermolecular Interactions as Driving Force of Increasing Multiphoton Absorption in a Perylene Diimide‐Based Coordination Polymer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

A few provoking relations between dark energy, dark matter and pions

open access: yes, 2009
I present three relations, striking in their simplicity and fundamental appearance. The first one connects the Compton wavelength of a pion and the dark energy density of the Universe; the second one connects Compton wavelength of a pion and the mass ...

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

A Strong Regular Relation on ?-Semihyperrings [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, 2011
The concept of algebraic hyperstructures introduced by Marty as a generalization of ordinary algebraic structures. In an ordinary algebraic structure, the composition of two elements is an element, while in an algebraic hyperstructure, the composition of

Fundamental relations in Ringel–Hall algebras

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 2008
Let \(A\) be a finitary \(\mathbb{F}_q\)-algebra, where \(\mathbb{F}_q\) is a finite field. Let \(\mathcal H(A)\) be the Ringel-Hall algebra of \(A\) (it is the free Abelian group with basis \(u_{[M]}\) indexed by isoclasses \([M]\) of finite dimensional \(A\)-modules \(M\); the multiplication is given by the formula \(u_{[M]}u_{[N]}=\sum_{[L]}F_{M,N ...

Depth of cohomology support loci for quasi-projective varieties via orbifold pencils

open access: yes, 2012
The present paper describes a relation between the quotient of the fundamental group of a smooth quasi-projective variety by its second commutator and the existence of maps to orbifold curves.

Coexisting Rashba/Dresselhaus Spin Splitting in Solution‐Processed Bournonite Films Using Circular Photogalvanic Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Circular photogalvanic effect measurements and first‐principles calculations reveal spin‐splitting states in solution‐processed bournonite films (CuPbSbS3) due to structural and bulk inversion asymmetry. The results provide experimental confirmation of coexisting Rashba and Dresselhaus spin‐splitting states in this non‐centrosymmetric chalcogenide ...

Besov spaces on open sets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This paper is devoted to giving definitions of Besov spaces on an arbitrary open set of $\mathbb R^n$ via the spectral theorem for the Schr\"odinger operator with the Dirichlet boundary condition.

Fifth-neighbor spin-spin correlator for the anti-ferromagnetic Heisenberg chain

open access: yes, 2005
We study the generating function of the spin-spin correlation functions in the ground state of the anti-ferromagnetic spin-1/2 Heisenberg chain without magnetic field.
