Versatile CRISPR‐Cas Tools for Gene Regulation in Zebrafish via an Enhanced Q Binary System
This study introduces CRISPR‐Q, a transgenic CRISPR‐Cas system leveraging the QFvpr/QUAS binary expression platform in zebrafish. CRISPR‐Q overcomes previous challenges in achieving stable and efficient gene regulation. By enabling precise spatiotemporal control of transcript knockdown (CRISPR‐QKD) and gene activation (CRISPR‐Qa), it provides a ...

Lipid overload suppresses SREBF2‐mediated FNTB expression, leading to defective Lamin A maturation and nuclear envelope instability. This nuclear catastrophe triggers a pro‐fibrotic senescence program in cardiomyocytes. Notably, restoring nuclear integrity via AAV9‐based gene therapy effectively attenuates cardiac remodeling, identifying the ...

The complete mitochondrial genome of enigmatic mycoparasitic fungus Squamanita imbachii
The complete mitochondrial genome of Squamanita imbachii I. Saar, is unveiled in this research for the first time. It covers 76,643 base pairs (bp) and exhibits a guanine-cytosine (GC) content of 23%. The genome includes 14 conserved protein-coding genes,

By integrating single‐nuclei and spatial transcriptomics, this study presents a stereoscopic landscape of maize leaf to Puccinia polysora infection. Epidermal and mesophyll cells initiate primary defenses via RLPs/RLKs and jasmonic acid signaling. Cell‐cell communication analyses further reveal the underlying the dynamics of the underlying immune ...

This study presents the first telomere‐to‐telomere genomes and population resources for Diaporthe pathogens, uncovering the largest known fungal repertoire of secondary metabolite gene clusters. Structural variations and horizontal gene transfer drive cluster diversification, while specific rapidly evolving clusters control virulence, offering novel ...

ImmuDef, a novel algorithm to quantitatively evaluate the anti‐infection immune defense function of an individual based on RNA‐seq data via a variational autoencoder (VAE) model. It is validated on 3200+ samples across four immune states with high accuracy. It can serve as a metric for disease severity and prognosis across pathogenic cohorts.

Fungal Diversity – An Overview
Fungi are cryptic, understudied and hyperdiverse organisms. In this chapter I address the wonders of fungal diversity, including recent advances on the understanding of the evolution of the kingdom Fungi, approaches to documenting and interpreting fungal diversity, and current efforts concerning fungal conservation.

An iron‐based nanozyme selectively eliminates intratumoral P. anaerobius while catalytically generating ROS to induce ferroptosis, synergistically suppressing colorectal cancer growth and activating anti‐tumor immunity through immunogenic cell death. ABSTRACT The intratumoral microbiota is a critical determinant of therapeutic outcomes in colorectal ...
