Interindividual variability and intraindividual stability of oral fungal microbiota over time [PDF]
Oral microbiota is one of the most complex and diverse microbial communities in the human body. In the present study, we aimed to characterize oral fungi biodiversity and stability over time in a group of healthy participants with good oral health. Oral health and oral fungal microbiota were evaluated in 40 healthy individuals.

The effects of NETs on regeneration of various diabetic tissues, and strategies targeting NETs for diabetes tissue regeneration. In the diabetic environment, NETs undergo complex metabolic and immune reprogramming, leading to dynamic changes in antibacterial and proinflammatory functions, and affecting regeneration of multiple systemic tissues.

Effects of Rhodotorula Yeast Culture on Nutrient Apparent Digestibility and Rumen Health in Sheep
The potential of Rhodotorula yeast culture (RYC) in animal production remains underexplored. This study investigated the effects of RYC supplementation on nutrient apparent digestibility, rumen tissue morphology, fermentation parameters, and fungal ...

The fungal gut microbiota in pediatric-onset multiple sclerosis
Evidence suggests that the gut microbiome may play a role in multiple sclerosis (MS). However, the majority of the studies have focused on gut bacterial communities; none have examined the fungal microbiota (mycobiota) in persons with pediatric-onset multiple sclerosis (POMS).

A roadmap to key traits of invasive Drosophilidae
ABSTRACT Biological invasions have intensified in recent decades, mostly driven by international trade and travel, raising significant concerns, particularly regarding insect pests. Once non‐native species establish, they can disrupt natural ecosystem stability, undermine agroecosystem sustainability and cause substantial economic losses.

The unseen world: environmental microbial sequencing and identification methods for ecologists [PDF]
Archaea, bacteria, microeukaryotes, and the viruses that infect them (collectively “microorganisms”) are foundational components of all ecosystems, inhabiting almost every imaginable environment and comprising the majority of the planet’s organismal and ...
