Reaction of diethyl phosphorisocyanatidite with 3,4-dichloro-5-hydroxy-2(5H)-furanone [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Reaction of diethyl phosphorisocyanatidite with 3,4-dichloro-5-hydroxy-2(H)-furanone (mucochloric acid) is accomplished by mixing the reagents and leads to a bicyclic phosphonamidate.

Furanone Derivatives from Terrestrial Streptomyces spp.

open access: yes, 2012
Chemical investigation of the terrestrial Streptomyces sp. isolates GT2005/020 and ANK148 led to the isolation of two microbial furanone derivatives, 5-hydroxy-4-methylnaphtho[1,2-b]furan-3-one (1) and 4-hydroxy-5-methyl-furan-3-one (2), respectively ...

Neuroprotective furanones from a soil-derived fungus Penicillium paxilli ga254

open access: yesJournal of Asian Natural Products Research
Three furanone derivatives (1–3), including one new compound, penicifuranone A (1), and one new natural product (2), along with one known dihydropyranone (4) were isolated from the solid rice medium fermentation of Penicillium paxilli ga254. The structures of these compounds were elucidated using comprehensive NMR spectroscopic analysis.

Furanone derivative and sesquiterpene from Antarctic marine-derived fungus Penicillium sp. S-1-18

open access: yesJournal of Asian Natural Products Research, 2017
A new furanone derivative, butanolide A (1), and a new sesquiterpene, guignarderemophilane F (2), together with six known compounds, were isolated from the fungus Penicillium sp. S-1-18 derived from Antarctic marine. The new structures were determined by spectroscopic studies such as 1D- and 2D-NMR and MS analyses.
