Stabilization distance bounds from link Floer homology
Abstract We consider the set of connected surfaces in the 4‐ball with boundary a fixed knot in the 3‐sphere. We define the stabilization distance between two surfaces as the minimal g$g$ such that we can get from one to the other using stabilizations and destabilizations through surfaces of genus at most g$g$.

FDI, production networks and firm behaviour: Evidence from the South African automotive industry
Abstract Firms in developing countries can learn advanced technology and management know‐how through foreign direct investment (FDI). The extent (or the lack) of transmission of technology and knowledge depends on the structure of production networks. In the automotive industry, networks consist of vehicle assemblers and their layers of parts suppliers.

The Furuta Inequality and an Operator Equation for Linear Operators
We show that a special form of the Futura inequality is equivalent to an operator equation H^{\frac{p-2rn}{2(n+1)}} T (H^{\frac{p+2r}{n_+1}} T)^n H^{\frac{p-2_rn}{2(n+1)}} = K^p .

Operator functions associated with Furuta's inequality
AbstractWe strengthen a recent monotonicity theorem on an operator function due to Furuta, which is an extension of an operator inequality known as Furuta's inequality. This is done by using means of operators. It leads to an alternative proof of Ando's result on the geometric mean.

An extension of Furuta's log majorization inequality
Summary: In this paper, we shall prove a log majorization inequality, which extends Furuta's result.

Furuta Inequality and q-Hyponormal Operators [PDF]
This paper is to consider Furuta type inequalities and q-hyponormal operators. It is shown that the complete form and original form of Furuta inequality are equivalent to each other. Forward, we prove that the complete form and original form of Furuta inequality are equivalent to the order relations among Aluthge transforms on q-hyponormal operators ...
