Variability in Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense

Canadian Journal of Botany, 1990
A worldwide collection of 96 isolates of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense (incitant of fusarial wilt of banana or Panama disease) from 12 countries was used to assess population structure in the pathogen; isolates were diverse for vegetative compatibility (11 vegetative compatibility groups) and race-specific virulence (races 1, 2, and 4).

Interaction of Fusarium Oxysporum f.sp. Cubense with Pseudomonas Fluorescens Precolonized to Banana Roots

World Journal of Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2004
Effect of precolonization of banana cv Neeypovan roots with Pseudomonas fluorescens on infection with Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense was studied. Under in vitro conditions Pseudomonas fluorescens clearly inhibited Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense. Fluorescein isothiocyanate-tagged antibodies raised in a rabbit system for Pseudomonas fluorescens and ...

Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense tropical race 4 (TR4).

2021
Abstract TR4 is one of only six strains strains of F. oxysporum f.sp. cubense (Foc) that attack Cavendish bananas (AAA genome). It is much more aggressive on Cavendish than SR4. TR4 was first observed in Taiwan in 1989 but its importance as an invasive was identified in the 1990s when it was isolated from damaged Cavendish plants in Indonesia ...

The ultrastructure of tylose formation in resistant banana following inoculation with Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense

Physiological and Molecular Plant Pathology, 1987
Abstract In a resistant banana cultivar tylose initials appeared within vessel lumina of roots two days after inoculation with race 1 of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense. The tyloses were formed as extensions of contact (paratracheal) parenchyma cells.

DISEASE NOTES OR NEW RECORDS: Further records of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense from New Guinea

Australasian Plant Pathology, 2000
Three vegetative compatibility groups (VCGs) or VCG complexes of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense (0124/5, 0126 and 01213/16) were recovered from wilted bananas on the island of New Guinea.
