We describe the endocranial anatomy of Metacheiromys marshi. Decrease in olfaction and eye movement control occurred through time in Pholidotamorpha and is likely linked to fossorial adaptations. The development of the orbital gyrus might be related to the evolution of myrmecophagy and the emergence of a protrusile tongue in early Pholidotamorpha ...

A three‐dimensional model is used to analyze the locomotor biomechanics of the large Late Triassic archosaurian reptile Postosuchus kirkpatricki. The study finds that it is more uncertain than previously concluded whether it was quadrupedal or bipedal, and plantigrade or digitigrade, but it clearly had locomotor specializations including large hindlimb

Our μCT‐based pilot study reveals size and shape disparity in the adult postcranial skeleton of growth‐hormone model (bGH) mice relative to wild‐type mice. bGH mice have larger and more sexually dimorphic bones, with a systemic radiodensity increase in bony sesamoids and associated, but typically uncalcified, soft tissues.

From sagittal to sprawled: Clavicular co‐option and the evolution of forelimb mechanics in talpines
Forelimb posture in Eulipotyphla divides into sagittal and sprawled groups with distinct scapular and clavicular orientations. First true rib strength scales with body mass, reflecting vertical ground reaction forces, whereas clavicular strength reflects differences in medially directed forces on the pectoral girdle, especially pronounced in highly ...

New World vultures are the only avian clade proposed to lack a syrinx and have been described as non‐vocal. Using dissection, diceCT, and histology, we demonstrate that cathartid vultures have novel syringeal features that form a syrinx and vocal characterization reveals that they produce more complex vocalizations than previously reported.

Excavation at University College London revealed more than 8700 human skeletal fragments representing at least 38 individuals, alongside over 800 animal remains. Features consistent with dissection, specimen preparation and curation provide evidence for the use of human and animal material in nineteenth‐century anatomical education, offering rare ...

ABSTRACT Artificial intelligence (AI) enables automated, high‐throughput adiposity quantification, offering refined risk stratification for women with overweight and obesity. We systematically reviewed and meta‐analyzed studies evaluating AI‐based segmentation of visceral, subcutaneous, and total fat in adult women populations (BMI: 25–29.9 and ≥ 30 kg/

ABSTRACT Objective This retrospective cohort study aimed to compare the effects of tooth‐bone‐borne mini‐implant‐assisted rapid palatal expansion (MARPE) and tooth‐borne (Hyrax) rapid palatal expansion (RPE) techniques on the pterygopalatine suture (PPS) and the opening pattern of the midpalatal suture (MPS).

Artificial Intelligence in Orthodontics: A Scoping Review of Methods and Applications
ABSTRACT The rapid integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into orthodontics raises important questions about which methods are being applied, how they are being validated, and what barriers remain to clinical implementation. This study was conducted to inform orthodontic practitioners, researchers, and educators about the possibilities that AI ...

Combined Effects of Romosozumab and Zoledronate on the Development of Osteonecrosis of the Jaw
ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to assess the occurrence of medication‐related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) in mice following the sequential administration of romosozumab and zoledronate and to confirm their inhibitory effects on osteoclast differentiation in vitro.
