Formulations of moist thermodynamics for atmospheric modelling
Internal energy, enthalpy and entropy are the key quantities to study thermodynamic properties of the moist atmosphere, because they correspond to the First (internal energy and enthalpy) and Second (entropy) Laws of thermodynamics.

Classical Thermodynamic Analysis of Deuterium-Based Fusion Reactions
The fusion reactions involving deuterium are of great interest for the exploitation of the fusion energy via magnetic-confinement devices. In classical thermodynamics, the spontaneity of a process is established through the assessment of the change in ...

This paper presents a novel approach to reducing oxide layers on metal powders using low‐temperature hydrogen dielectric barrier discharge plasmas at atmospheric pressure. Unlike conventional hydrogen‐plasma reductions, the powders do not contact the plasma directly.

On the computation of moist-air specific thermal enthalpy [PDF]
The specific thermal enthalpy of a moist-air parcel is defined analytically following a method in which specific moist entropy is derived from the Third Law of thermodynamics.

A novel workflow for investigating hydride vapor phase epitaxy for GaN bulk crystal growth is proposed. It combines Design of experiments (DoE) with physical simulations of mass transport and crystal growth kinetics, serving as an intermediate step between DoE and experiments.

Chemoselective Sequential Polymerization: An Approach Toward Mixed Plastic Waste Recycling
Inspired by biological protein metabolism, this study demonstrates the closed‐loop recycling of mixed synthetic polymers via ring‐closing depolymerization followed by a chemoselective sequential polymerizations process. The approach recovers pure polymers from mixed feedstocks, even in multilayer formats, highlighting a promising strategy to overcome a

Toward New High Temperature Reference Materials for Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis
The French National Metrology Laboratory LNE-LCM has developed a high temperature reference facility for accurate measurements of the specific heat capacity and of the enthalpy of fusion of materials over the temperature range [23 °C, 1000 °C].
