Water security from Indigenous knowledge perspective: A scoping review
Abstract Water security is a growing field of research in water resources management and has been increasingly examined from the perspectives of Indigenous knowledge. This study presents a scoping review that explores how Indigenous knowledge perspectives on water security are represented in the scientific literature.

Hypertension at 5 months postpartum in women with gestational diabetes
ABSTRACT Objective Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is associated with future maternal cardiovascular disease, independent of the development of Type‐2 diabetes mellitus. As a major cardiovascular risk factor, we examined the incidence and predictors of hypertension at 5 months postpartum in women with previous GDM.

We assess the effect of sanitation felling performed in 2022 in North‐Eastern Italy on bark beetle damage that occurred in 2023 across eight spruce forest types, as evaluated using multispectral satellite imagery. Bark beetle damage was reduced only at very high or very low sanitation felling rates.

Structured machine learning modeling to support conservation of deep‐sea benthic biodiversity
Abstract Biodiversity monitoring programs need to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable predictions. To establish a predictive monitoring program for deep‐sea benthos of the Santos Basin, Brazil, we developed a two‐stage structured model that allowed comparison of biodiversity predictions obtained from environmental simulations (2M‐Sim).

Translocation effects on regional and local population viability and connectivity
Abstract Translocations and reintroductions aim to improve the viability of isolated populations and promote connectivity for large carnivores. However, there is no established framework for assessing their success. We used the Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) in western and central Europe to assess the impact of translocations on the viability of six ...

Combined phylogenetic and geographic data can predict plant–pest interactions with high accuracy
Schematic overview of the study pipeline. Summary Non‐native plant pests can pose major threats to biodiversity, with destructive ecological and economic consequences. The ability to predict future threats would allow limited resources to be concentrated on managing the most serious risks. We built a Bayesian model to predict hosts at risk from Agrilus,
