Social Movements: Sequences vs Fuzzy Temporality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
This chapter will pull together some of the most important threads of theoretical development in the field of social movement studies in order to construct – and then critique – a sequential understanding of social movements.

New Certain Results of a Linear Multiplier Fractional q-Differintegral Operator for Fuzzy Differential Subordination and Superordination

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
The concept of fuzzy differential subordination was introduced in 2011 as a natural generalization of classical differential subordination, reflecting the contemporary trend of incorporating fuzzy set theory into well-established mathematical frameworks.

The Application of the Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method in the Sealing Evaluation of Caprocks in Underground Gas Storage

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
The good sealing caprocks are significant for the integrity of underground gas storage (UGS) in depleted natural gas reservoirs. The screening of parameters, weight assignment, and evaluation method are important for evaluating the sealing performance of

Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum for Image Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Solid Harmonic Wavelet Bispectrum (SHWB), a rotation‐ and translation‐invariant descriptor that captures higher‐order (phase) correlations in signals, is introduced. Combining wavelet scattering, bispectral analysis, and group theory, SHWB achieves interpretable, data‐efficient representations and demonstrates competitive performance across texture,

Disorder‐Induced Extremely Low Thermal Conductivity of Graphite Fluoride

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This article investigates the effect of fluorination on the thermal conductivity of graphite fluoride, demonstrating the relationship between structural modification and thermal conductivity in an extreme case. The record‐low through‐plane thermal conductivity measured in exfoliated graphite fluoride flakes was found to correlate with the wide ...

Neural Fields for Highly Accelerated 2D Cine Phase Contrast MRI

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT 2D cine phase contrast (CPC) MRI provides quantitative information on blood velocity and flow within the human vasculature. However, data acquisition is time‐consuming, motivating the reconstruction of the velocity field from undersampled measurements to reduce scan times. In this work, neural fields are proposed as a continuous spatiotemporal

Metal (n+1)p‐nd Orbital Hybridization and Excited‐State Metal–Ligand π‐Interactions Enable d10 Carbene‐Metal‐Amide TADF OLEDs with High Efficiency and Long Operational Lifetime

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We elucidate the key roles of metal p‐d orbital hybridization, excited‐state metal–ligand π‐interactions, and structural rotation in TADF of d10 CMA complexes. Introducing electron‐withdrawing or π‐extended ligand substituents weakens excited‐state metal‐ligand π‐interactions and improves kTADF, but may compromise emitter stability in device operation.

Demand Response Optimization for Vietnamese Manufacturing: Benchmarking Fuzzy Logic Against Metaheuristic Methods [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
Vietnam’s June 2023 power crisis ($1.4B damages) prompted thousands of manufacturers to join EVN demand response programs. This benchmarking study compares Mamdani fuzzy logic control against genetic algorithms (GA), particle swarm optimization (PSO ...
