Robust Multi-Criteria Optimal Fuzzy Control of Continuous-Time Nonlinear Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This paper presents a novel fuzzy control design of continuous-time nonlinear systems with multiple performance criteria. The purpose behind this work is to improve the traditional fuzzy controller performance to satisfy several performance criteria ...

Improvement of Adaptive Cruise Control System Performance on Sloped Roads Based on Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System

open access: yesIEEE Access
Adaptive cruise control is a system that maintains an appropriate distance from vehicles ahead while driving. Although Adaptive cruise control systems operate stably on flat roads, they can become unstable on sloped roads. This study presents a method to

Evaluating the Packing Process in Food Industry Using Fuzzy X and S Control Charts [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems, 2011
The fuzzy set theory addresses the development of concepts and techniques for dealing with uncertainty or impression conditions. If the collected data from a process include vagueness due to human subjectively or measurement system, fuzzy control charts ...

Fuzzy Stabilization of Fuzzy Control Systems

open access: yes, 2008
This chapter presented a practical approach to stabilize fuzzy systems based on adaptive nonlinear feedback using a fuzzy stabilizer in the feedback loop. For this we needed to identify the nonlinearity range of the system. The fuzzy stabilizer is tuned so that the system nonlinearities lie in a bounded sector as delivered by using the circle criterion

Fuzzy service control of queueing systems

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, Part B (Cybernetics), 1999
We consider queueing systems in which the service rate is the controlled variable. The cost depends on the queue length and selected rate. The objective is to choose the service rate dynamically, based on the state of the system so as to minimize the average cost over an infinite horizon.

Performance Evaluation of Road Traffic Control Using a Fuzzy Cellular Model

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper a method is proposed for performance evaluation of road traffic control systems. The method is designed to be implemented in an on-line simulation environment, which enables optimisation of adaptive traffic control strategies.

Expert supervision of an anti-skid control system of a commercial aircraft [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
A rule-based supervising system that incorporates fuzzy logic has been designed to back-up a conventional anti-skid braking system (ABS). Expressing the expert knowledge about the ABS in terms of linguistic rules, the supervising fuzzy system adapts the ...

Design of Multi-Rate Multi-Zone Wireless Fuzzy Temperature Control System for Greenhouse Application

open access: yesJournal of Engineering, 2020
sensor sampling rate (SSR) may be an effective and crucial field in networked control systems.  Changing sensor sampling period after designing the networked control system is a critical matter for the stability of the system. In this article, a wireless
