Feature gene selection based on fuzzy neighborhood joint entropy

open access: yesComplex & Intelligent Systems, 2023
This paper addresses the feature selection problem for gene expression profiles. Feature selection based on fuzzy neighborhood rough sets is very important in gene expression profiles.

Constructing practical Fuzzy Extractors using QIM [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Fuzzy extractors are a powerful tool to extract randomness from noisy data. A fuzzy extractor can extract randomness only if the source data is discrete while in practice source data is continuous.

Measure of Fuzziness with fuzzy entropy function

open access: yesJournal of Korean Institute of Intelligent Systems, 2004
The relations of fuzzy entropy, distance measure, and similarity measure are discussed in this paper. For the purpose of reliable signal selection, the fuzzy entropy is proposed by a distance measure. Properness of the proposed entropy is verified by the definition of the entropy measure.

Entropy and Semi-Entropies of LR Fuzzy Numbers’ Linear Function with Applications to Fuzzy Programming [PDF]

open access: yesEntropy, 2019
As a crucial concept of characterizing uncertainty, entropy has been widely used in fuzzy programming problems, while involving complicated calculations. To simplify the operations so as to broaden its applicable areas, this paper investigates the entropy within the framework of credibility theory and derives the formulas for calculating the entropy of

Stoma‐Shell Nanoarchitecture for Enhanced Plasma Confinement Catalysis in Synthesis of Ethanol from CO2

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
High‐energy electron impact in plasma catalysis often causes excessive dissociation of active intermediates, limiting C2+ product selectivity. To address this challenge, a bio‐inspired stoma‐shell nanoarchitecture is designed to decouple electron impact from catalytic reaction zones.

Research on multi-objective flow shop scheduling optimization in supply chain environment based on Fuzzy Relevance Entropy Method

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2023
For the multi-objective flow shop scheduling problem in the supply chain environment, this paper proposes the Fuzzy Relevance Entropy method (FREM) to solve the adaptive value assignment problem in the multi-objective optimization process of the supply ...

Fuzzy Measures and the Entropy of Fuzzy Partitions

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1993
The author defines an entropy of a fuzzy partition and proves some basic properties of it. His aim is to get such properties which are very similar to analogous properties for the entropy of probability measures. Therefore, the consideration must be restricted to bounded-sum-union and bounded-product-intersection of fuzzy sets (only in this case a ...

Programmable In‐Situ Interactions Between Resins and Photopolymerized Structures for Seamlessly Integrated Optical Manufacturing of Microlenses

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a dynamic interaction between liquid resins and photopolymerized structures enabled by an in situ light‐writing setup. By controlling a three‐phase interface through localized photopolymerization, which provides physical confinement for the remaining uncured resin regions, the approach establishes a programmable pathway that ...

A Study on Fuzzy Systems

open access: yes, 2012
We use princiles of fuzzy logic to develop a general model representing several processes in a system's operation characterized by a degree of vagueness and/or uncertainy.

Bio‐Inspired Magnetically Tunable Structural Colors from Elliptical Self‐Assembled Block Copolymer Microparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Cephalopod‐inspired photonic microparticles with dynamic structural coloration are fabricated via confined self‐assembly of linear block copolymers into ellipsoids containing stacked lamellae. Embedded superparamagnetic nanoparticles enable rapid magnetic alignment, restoring vivid, angle‐dependent color.
