Fuzzy grey fault tree analysis on diesel engine reliability
2010 Seventh International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery, 2010The minimal cut sets and structure importance of bottom event are achieved by top-down method on diesel engine system downtime failures. The method of combining grey relational analysis with fuzzy membership function is presented to solve the probability of failure modes. Fuzzy grey fault tree model is proposed.

GIS reliability analysis based trapezoid fuzzy fault tree
2010 18th International Conference on Geoinformatics, 2010GIS reliability refers to the ability to complete the requirements under the specified conditions and time. In this paper, there are five elements including object, conditions of use, use of time, functions and capabilities, to evaluate GIS reliability proposed by the combination in a engineering GIS.

A reliability risk analysis method based on the fuzzy fault tree and fuzzy event tree
2016 11th International Conference on Reliability, Maintainability and Safety (ICRMS), 2016Based on the analyses systems of fuzzy fault tree and event tree, this paper proposes a method for a reliability risk analysis to mitigate problems associated with risk modeling of fuzzy and uncertain information. Risk event occurrence probabilities were obtained with fuzzy linguistic variables instead of exact values used in fault tree analysis ...

Fuzzy Fault Tree Analysis : Case Studies
1995Estimation of the fuzzy probability of occurrence of an hazardous event (such as: accidental release of chemicals) taking recourse to Fuzzy Sets Theory (FST) is the topic of immediate relevance in Probabilistics Risk Assessment for Chemical Industry.

New gate operations of fuzzy fault tree analysis
Proceedings of 1994 IEEE 3rd International Fuzzy Systems Conference, 1994Fault tree analysis (FTA) is a widely used method for system analysis in which a particular type of fault is expanded deductively to several causes (events) and basic causes (events) are determined. The representation of the relationship between the occurrence of an upper event and that of the lower events is called a gate operation.

Application of Fuzzy Fault Tree Analysis in Aero-Engine
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014In view of the situation that the traditional fault tree is difficult to determine the probability of the basic events without considering the inherent uncertainly and imprecision of each basic event, the concept of fuzzy set is introduced which transforms various kinds of fuzzy numbers into triangular fuzzy ones to describe the probability of bottom ...

Method of fuzzy fault tree analysis
2008This paper presents the possibility of extension of the classical fault tree analysis FTA with the fuzzy fault tree analysis FFTA. The integration of the FFTA within the tree fault is presented as well as the example of the simulation of the fuzzy sets basic events with affiliated functions of affiliation.

Fuzzy Fault Tree Analysis of Railway Traffic Safety
Traffic and Transportation Studies (2000), 2000The safety analysis of railway traffic system is presented in this paper. Fuzzy fault tree technique has been adopted in safety analysis. The main traffic accidents—top events of fault trees—have been analyzed down to the level of human errors and hardware failures. In the fuzzy fault-tree model, the possibility of failure, i.e.

Risk assessment of grain bin engulfment and entrapment using fault tree analysis and fuzzy fault tree analysis [PDF]
Grain bin safety remains a critical concern within the agricultural sector due to the prevalent incidence of grain entrapment and engulfment incidents. Despite existing guidelines and preventive measures, these hazards persist, underscoring the necessity
