Classical circular Hough transform was proven to be effective for some types of colorectal polyps. However, the polyps are very rarely perfectly circular, so some tolerance is needed, that can be ensured by applying fuzzy Hough transform instead of the ...

Automatic Cobb measurement of scoliosis based on fuzzy Hough Transform with vertebral shape prior. [PDF]
To reduce variability of Cobb angle measurement for scoliosis assessment, a computerized method was developed. This method automatically measured the Cobb angle on spinal posteroanterior radiographs after the brightness and the contrast of the image were adjusted, and the top and bottom of the vertebrae were selected. The automated process started with

Use the Fuzzy Hough transform towards reduction of the precision/uncertainty duality [PDF]
The Hough transform is a popular method for detecting complex forms in digital images. However, the technique is not very robust since several parameters that determine the scope of the detection results, such as quantization thresholds and intervals, must first be defined.

An MLP using Hough transform based fuzzy feature extraction for Bengali script recognition [PDF]
Abstract We define fuzzy sets on the Hough transform of character pattern pixels from which additional fuzzy sets are synthesized using t-norms. A multilayer perceptron trained with a number of linguistic set memberships derived from these t-norms can recognize characters of Bengali scripts by their similarities to different fuzzy pattern classes.

Navigational Path Detection Using Fuzzy Binarization and Hough Transform
In conventional methods for car navigational path detection using Hough transform, navigational path deviation of a car is decided in car navigational images with simple background. But in case of car navigational images having complex background with obstacles on the road, shadows, other cars, and so on, it is very difficult to detect navigational ...

Monitoring the osmotic dehydration process of quince by the novel fusion modular neural networks - fuzzy logic (Fmnn-Fl) [PDF]
This paper presents a novel approach to monitor food process based on Modular Neural Networks (MNNs) and fuzzy inference system. The proposed MNN consists of three separate modules, each using different image features as input including: edge detection ...

Track initiation based on adaptive gates and fuzzy Hough transform
Abstract In order to select reliable tracks from the limited measurement cycles, the track initiation has been studied, which affects all subsequent stages of target tracking. Numerous false target tracks were produced by traditional logic algorithms, and the Hough transform method was sensitive to noise. Based on adaptive gates and fuzzy Hough
