Supervisory Control of Fuzzy Discrete Event Systems

open access: yes, 2004
In order to cope with situations in which a plant's dynamics are not precisely known, we consider the problem of supervisory control for a class of discrete event systems modelled by fuzzy automata.

A Hybrid System for Subjectivity Analysis

open access: yesAdvances in Fuzzy Systems, 2018
We suggested different structured hybrid systems for the sentence-level subjectivity analysis based on three supervised machine learning algorithms, namely, Hidden Markov Model, Fuzzy Control System, and Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System.

Fuzzy Systems-as-a-Service in Cloud Computing

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems, 2019
Fuzzy systems have become widely accepted and applied in a host of domains such as control, electronics or mechanics. The software for construction of these systems has traditionally been exploited from tools, platforms and languages run on-premise ...

Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Remote Assessment of Ataxia Severity in SCA3 Across Multiple Centers and Time Points

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a genetically defined ataxia. The Scale for Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) is a clinician‐reported outcome that measures ataxia severity at a single time point. In its standard application, SARA fails to capture short‐term fluctuations, limiting its sensitivity in trials.

A Bibliography on Fuzzy Automata, Grammars and Lanuages [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
This bibliography contains references to papers on fuzzy formal languages, the generation of fuzzy languages by means of fuzzy grammars, the recognition of fuzzy languages by fuzzy automata and machines, as well as some applications of fuzzy set theory ...

Clinical Practice Guideline for Evaluation and Management of Peripheral Nervous System Manifestations in Sjögren's Disease

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Sjögren's disease is an autoimmune disorder that can impact multiple organ systems, including the peripheral nervous system (PNS). PNS manifestations, which can exist concurrently, include mononeuropathies, polyneuropathies, and autonomic nervous system neuropathies.

Soil Moisture Prediction using Fuzzy Time Series and Moisture sensor Technology on Shallot Farming [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2019
This research conducted by predicting soil moisture using Fuzzy Time Series (FTS) and soil moisture sensor technology on shallot farming. Well-controlled soil moisture affects the shallots and crops growth.

Emerging ASL Distinctions in Sign-Speech Bilinguals' Signs and Co-speech Gestures in Placement Descriptions

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2021
Previous work on placement expressions (e.g., “she put the cup on the table”) has demonstrated cross-linguistic differences in the specificity of placement expressions in the native language (L1), with some languages preferring more general, widely ...

A Fuzzy Approach to Erroneous Inputs in Context-Free Language Recognition [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Using fuzzy context-free grammars one can easily describe a finite number of ways to derive incorrect strings together with their degree of correctness. However, in general there is an infinite number of ways to perform a certain task wrongly.
