Weighted linguistic modelling based on fuzzy subsethood values

The 12th IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems, 2003. FUZZ '03., 2004
A basic aim of the development of fuzzy linguistic models is to produce fuzzy systems which have both a high accuracy rate and a high degree of transparency. This paper presents a modelling method which allows the creation of accurate fuzzy linguistic models, based on fuzzy subsethood-values.

Fuzzy linguistic model for bioelectrical impedance vector analysis

Clinical Nutrition, 2012
The boundaries between the categories of body composition provided by vectorial analysis of bioimpedance are not well defined. In this paper, fuzzy sets theory was used for modeling such uncertainty. An Italian database with 179 cases 18-70 years was divided randomly into developing (n = 20) and testing samples (n = 159).

Two Fuzzy-Set Models for the Semantics of Linguistic Negations

2007
Two methods based on fuzzy sets are proposed in order to handle the understanding of linguistic negations. Both solutions assign an interpretation of the negated nuances of the natural language (i.e. the humans use adverbs and adjectives to make their requests) depending on the context. The first approach is a modification of Pacholczyk’s model able to

Some Remarks on the Fuzzy Linguistic Model Based on Discrete Fuzzy Numbers

2015
In this article, some possible interpretations of the computational model based on discrete fuzzy numbers are given. In particular, some advantages of this model based on the aggregation process as well as on a greater flexibilization of the linguistic expressions are analysed.

An Extended LibQUAL+ Model Based on Fuzzy Linguistic Information

2012
LibQUAL+ model is a web-based survey to measure the library service quality according to the users' perceptions. Although it is the most popular method, it presents two major drawbacks: (i) it is devised on cardinal scale to measure the library service quality (from 1 to 9), but, due to the subjectivity, impression and vagueness of the human beings ...

The Extended Hierarchical Linguistic Model in Fuzzy Cognitive Maps

2016
Fuzzy cognitive maps allow multi-expert causality modelling using linguistic 2-tuples values to improve the accuracy of the computing with words processes regarding classical symbolic approaches. Experts provide causal relations according to their knowledge, because they can have different educational backgrounds, or experiences.

Interpretability, Interpolation and Rule Weights in Linguistic Fuzzy Modeling

2011
Linguistic fuzzy modeling that is usually implemented using Mamdani type of fuzzy systems suffers from the lack of accuracy and high computational costs. The paper shows that product-sum inference is an immediate remedy to both problems and that in this case it is sufficient to consider symmetrical output membership functions. For the identification of
