Fuzzy logic in a patient supervision system

Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, 2001
A patient supervision system in progress for intensive and coronary care units, focused on patients with acute myocardial infarct is briefly described particularly regarding the role that fuzzy logic is playing in its design, and why this is so.

Fuzzy Logic in Predictive Harmonic Systems

2020
From the risk prediction perspective it is important to be able to access any relevant information that may improve its accuracy. Many concerns arise regarding how well such information is being managed. From the traditional point of view, data can be numeric or nominal. These considerations affect the efficiency of the predictive model.

FUZZY LOGIC APPLICATIONS IN TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS

International Journal on Artificial Intelligence Tools, 1995
The purpose of this paper is to provide a survey of state of the art fuzzy logic applications in the field of transportation, illustrating the usefulness, and the promising future of the fuzzy approach. The majority of the discussion covers the area of fuzzy control. A wide range of Fuzzy Logic Controllers (FLCs) is discussed, ranging from traffic, to

Extended Fuzzy Logic: Sets and Systems

IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, 2016
The concepts of sets and approximate reasoning within extended fuzzy logic (FLe) provide a systematic procedure for transforming unprecisiated knowledge into a nonlinear mapping over what we define here as f -sets. An f -set differs from a fuzzy set in that it is associated with the restriction of validity in addition to that of possibility ...

Type-2 fuzzy logic systems

IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, 1999
We introduce a type-2 fuzzy logic system (FLS), which can handle rule uncertainties. The implementation of this type-2 FLS involves the operations of fuzzification, inference, and output processing. We focus on "output processing," which consists of type reduction and defuzzification.

Fuzzy Logic System

2017
I demonstrate two fuzzy logic projects. The first one deals with a common situation that we all occasionally encounter: how to compute a tip for a meal at a restaurant. The second demonstration is more complex and involves implementing a control system that uses FL as part of its control technology.

Fuzzy logic systems

1999
Abstract A fuzzy logic system is one type of approximate reasoning system. It can be considered as one type of (intelligent) non-linear function approximator (see also Section 4.4). In the past five years there has been a huge increase in the application of fuzzy logic systems.

Fuzzy Logic System for Students’ Evaluation

2005
A fuzzy evaluation system to decide critical students' final marks is presented. The marks of the assessment tests made by students along the academic year are transformed into linguistic terms and used for assigning values to linguistic variables. Subjective criteria as i.e.

Simulation of a Fuzzy-Logic Control System

SIMULATION, 1993
We review fuzzy-control principles and show a simulation program permitting convenien t generation of membership functions and simple output interpolation. Interactive simulation is more than ordinarily important for economical fuzzy- controller design, which must reduce the number of membership classes and input/ output rules as much as possible.
