A Fuzzy Logic System for Visual Evaluation

Environment and Planning B: Planning and Design, 2005
Research has shown that views are an important factor in the overall satisfaction of building occupants, but, because they are qualitative and subjective, views are difficult to assess. This paper presents a new approach to analyzing views using a fuzzy logic methodology, with the aim of assessing the amenity of views.

A fuzzy logic system for channel equalization

[Proceedings 1993] Second IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems, 1995
The authors present a method for solving the channel equalization problem by using fuzzy logic. The membership functions are derived from the training data set and do not have to be predefined. A method for combining the outcomes of different rules is also proposed.

Explainable AI and Fuzzy Logic Systems

2018
The recent advances in computing power coupled with the rapid increases in the quantity of available data has led to a resurgence in the theory and applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI). However, the use of complex AI algorithms like Deep Learning, Random Forests, etc., could result in a lack of transparency to users which is termed as black ...

An inference system based on fuzzy logic

Journal of Medical Engineering & Technology, 1998
We present the use of fuzzy set theory for the management of imprecision and uncertainty. We first introduced fuzzy set theory according to two different perspectives: the logical and the possibilistic/probabilistic point of view. In addition, several examples of fuzzy sets in different contexts have been considered.
